Best B + B stay we ever had! Where to begin? Well after our car broke down, leaving us stranded 1,000 miles from home, we had no idea where we would stay or if/how we would get our car fixed. When I called the owner Chris, he was very attentive to our situation and even knew a great mechanic in the area he thought could help us with our German SUV (not easy to find!). We stayed multiple days as we had to wait for a water pump, and Chris even offered us his side by side to get around town and the mechanic was as advertised. Chris even picked us up from the shop after we dropped the car and found a friend to do the same upon pickup of the car. We were thankful for our extra nights in Mt View where we sat on the old timey porch with other guests and Chris gave us a history lesson on Folk Music and even played the Dulcimer for us.|All in all, this was the best thing that could have happened to us after finding ourselves stranded at a Wal-Mart just as we were about to drive 1,000 miles home. And of course the breakfast was amazing, and the room/decor just as perfect. Coming from the grim hustle of the east coast, we were left with the overwhelming feeling that there still are good people in the world, and we’re appreciative to have made...
Read moreIf you are looking for an authentic bed and breakfast inn, look no further! Ozark Country Inn is all that and more. Debbie and Leonard are amazing inn keepers. They take a great care of this 1906 historical landmark, so it feels and looks authentic but offers comforts of the modern world + one of the best breakfasts out there. The house is spacious and beautifully decorated (everything has its place and is tidy and clean), it feels very welcoming and happy inside. I loved the tea room downstairs. It offers variety of teas, hot chocolate and sweets. Help yourself anytime. The dining room is gorgeous and feels extra roomy with beautiful settings on the table. Very generous and delicious breakfast prepared by Leonard and Debbie at 8am energizes you for the rest of the day.
This is a fine place to experience and enjoy local hospitality, have a great time learning about history, traditions and culture of the ozark mountain town and its people. Will definitely...
Read moreFirst let me begin by saying that I have never stayed at a B&B before and that I was very hesitant. But my wife convinced me to go outside my comfort zone and let me just say I was glad I did!!! This place was absolutely amazing!!! From the atmosphere, to the location, to the food, and last but certainly not least the Inn keepers Bob and Nancy!! They are two of the nicest and accommodating people that we have ever met and they really made us feel at home. The old home is full of character, charm, and is beautifully maintained and clean. It is just off the town square but well within walking distance to all the shops down town. The breakfasts that Bob prepared for us were simply amazing and the coffee was hot and made the morning conversation with the ole Chief even better. Nancy gave us an amazing grand tour and gave us amazing advice on what to do around town. All and all this was the best trip that me and my wife have taken together and this Inn made it...
