For those who don't want the lengthy, Detailed Review, I left a Brief Review at the bottom…||We decided to come stay here at the Murrieta Hot Springs Resort for our 31st wedding anniversary. Check in is at 4pm & check out is at 10am.||Detailed Review:|-We arrived at 3:30pm and my wife had to wait in a lengthy line that went from the front desk, thru the lobby, and out the front door to check in (see picture 1). She could hear guests ahead of her talking angrily about the fact that their rooms weren't ready for check in (doesn't sound good for us). Sure enough, our room wasn't ready either. But they said we should go enjoy the facility and they'd text us when our room was ready. For the inconvenience, they gave us a late checkout of 11am. ||-We headed to the parking lot in the area of the building they told us we'd be in once they readied the room and found a great parking spot on the end next to a narrow space (striped on the asphalt differently than the parking spots were, clearly indicating this wasn't a parking spot) to allow groundskeepers to access the parking lots from the walking paths in their electric golf carts.||-Went to the bar behind the front desk and had some incredible drinks. They were truly inspired, and the two bartenders were incredible. True Mixologists for sure!||-Our room wasn't ready until 6:30pm & they never notified us. No text, no phone call, nothing. In fact, we only found out our room was ready because we called the front desk. They said our room was ready and didn't mention anything about their lack of notifying us, their paying customer. When asked why they didn't notify us, they said it was just an oversight. This excuse is unacceptable.|-When we got to the room, the door wasn't shut. Anybody could've just walked in. We did a sweep of the unit to make sure no one was squatting in there. No one was.||-The 2nd floor balcony was nice but had a storage area that joined our balcony to our neighbors. Our side didn't have a lock, so I walked into it and opened the door to our neighbor's balcony and was able to walk right out onto their balcony. Therefore we had to lock our sliding glass door at night so the neighbors wouldn't be able to murder us in our sleep (see pictures 2-7). Security for the guest should be hands down the #1 priority of the hotel. Unforgivable!!!!||-Went to dinner at Talia. We had the whipped ricotta appetizer. It looked amazing, but it lacked salt. Since none was present on the table, we took that to mean the chef thought it was seasoned properly. So we said nothing. My wife ordered the chicken. It was very good. I ordered the pot roast, which again needed salt. The desserts didn't impress me, but that's fine; that's a ‘me’ issue. So I asked for a cappuccino. The waitress told me they don't do cappuccinos or lattes, only espresso or French Press. I asked if they could give me an espresso and then pour some milk on it. She said they couldn't do that. I know a kitchen can't be devoid of milk. That's just absurd! This isn't a big deal, but on the heels of everything else, this was unacceptable. I wasn't asking for anything extravagant - just milk. Pathetic.||-Checked out & headed to the parking lot to get in our car & go home, but had yet another obstacle. You guessed it. Some inconsiderate guest squeezed into that gold cart access spot so close to my driver's side door, that I can't open the door.|Clearly they're more important than everyone else. I guess I'd forgotten that. ||Brief Review:|This place was not a place of relaxation & calm. It's more like a low budget, trashy, understaffed Disneyland; overcrowded during daylight hours with Day-Passholders trashing up the property.||I'd say Murrieta Hot Springs Resort needs to do better, but there's soo many things they need to do better with, I really don't think it's possible.||This resort has VERY clearly shown us that they really aren't interested in us staying here. Frankly, we'd be embarrassed to bring anyone here or recommend this to our family or friends. I'm actually dreading having to tell my family about our stay when they...

Brief Review: This place was not a place of relaxation & calm. It's more like a low budget, trashy, understaffed Disneyland; overcrowded during daylight hours with Day-Passholders trashing up the property.
I'd say Murrieta Hot Springs Resort needs to do better, but there's soo many things they need to do better with, I really don't think it's possible.
This resort has VERY clearly shown us that they really aren't interested in us staying here. Frankly, we'd be embarrassed to bring anyone here or recommend this to our family or friends. I'm actually dreading having to tell my family...
