No time to go to Disneyland to satisfy that Dole Whip craving? No worries. We love this frozen yogurt shop that offers authentic Dole Whip pineapple frozen yogurt and other amazing flavors. Usually the flavors are Pineapple, Mango, Passion-Orange, Watermelon, Original Tart (so good!), Cake Batter, Vanilla, Chocolate, and Cookies n’Cream. You serve yourself and are charged based on the weight of your cup once you fill it. There are waffle cups available and many different toppings. They also offer drinks made with the frozen yogurt, such as Dole Whip floats, “Mangonada” and yogurt Affogato for espresso lovers. They also sell dog-safe, probiotic-enriched yogurt cups for your pooch. We love that almost all the yogurt flavors are certified gluten-free, since our daughter has celiac disease. It’s nice to be able to go out with her for a treat once in a while. We love all the flavors and find it hard to limit what we put in our cups, but both for calorie reasons and our budget, we have to watch out. It’s very easy to spend $8-$10 on a cup of yogurt even without toppings or extras. The inside is clean and cute, if a little eccentric with the cherry blossom tree and plush toys everywhere. Staff is generally often absent in the back but come out right away when you walk in, and they are always nice and helpful, offering tastings if you want to try before you buy. It’s never been super-busy when we go. Overall, this is a nice stop for tasty...
Read moreThey have a variety of tables with cozy seating and each table has a set of wooden blocks on the table. Perfect to keep the kiddos entertained and possibly get in a Jenga off for the older crowd.
I feel like they really want you to make sure to push the handles up in that machines…
Some of the machines were very slow to react/serve, I had to pump a flavor a few times to get any.
Lots of toppings, nothing jumped out at me as being messy or unattended.
The worker that was in the back came out to work the register. My kiddo was already trying to snack on some of his toppings and she made a comment about don’t eat yet as she was helping another customer. I reprimanded him, but he is 9 and tried to sneak another boba pearl. She had a severe look on her face as she stared him down and say “No, seriously, you are stealing from the company”. Even the customer at the registered looked up to check if she was being serious. By all means, I’ll add another scoop of something to make up for the $.05 he just ate…
As we sat inside to eat our yogurts, I witnessed her less than stellar service with another family...
Read moreYogurt is what you expect, nothing special or different from all other frozen yogurt places, but nothing to complain about. Toppings are good though seemed like a smaller selection than many places and no fresh fruit options.
All decent and average so far.
But their pricing is absolutely ridiculously absurd. I put my own, maybe a little over half full, bowl down and it was showing almost $19! My two kids added theirs and the total for 3 bowls was $64 freaking dollars! Literally more expensive, by $13, than our entire dinner meal we just ate (it was Denny's, but still)! So much for a fun treat with the kids after dinner.
Inflation, tariffs... Whatever, can't be blamed for these insane prices. This is just good old fashioned greed. We will never be going back as there are so many other options, with even better selection, and actually fair pricing, that won't rip you off.
Enjoy my money, I guess, because you'll never get a cent from me again and I'll warn off any friends or family with suggestions on planes that don't greedily rip off...
