Overall, we had a great stay. Very comfortable room (room 6). Large balcony with relaxing river view. Our room had no desk, but did have a large, comfortable sofa with a coffee table. Very clean bathroom with a nice shower. Excellent turn-down chocolates. Breakfast is delivered to the room. Fairly large breakfast menu for an inn with 11 rooms. Everything we tried was well-prepared. Particularly liked the breakfast burrito. Also liked the wine and cheese hour (5-6 p.m.). ||Lots of outdoor seating with fire pits and water views (see photos). Liked the location — secluded, but still very close to the restaurants and tasting rooms in downtown Napa. The entire staff was friendly and helpful. Really enjoyed our stay and will definitely return. Just a handful of comments/suggestions:||1. There wasn’t much room for toiletries around the bathroom sink. A little glass shelf would help.||2. The snack selection in the room was fine, but given the price point (well north of $1000/night during festival season), it would have been nice if the snacks were included with the room.||3. The stairs to the second floor are quite creaky. Wasn’t really an issue in room 6, but would imagine they would be loud enough to wake you up in one of the rooms next to the stairs.||4. The understandably limited post-breakfast food options were a bit underwhelming. Tried all three items (Margherita pizza; charcuterie plate; cheese plate). The prosciutto and cheeses were clearly culled from what was not eaten during the wine and cheese hour as two of the cheeses had substantially dried out. The pizza seemed like it had been re-heated in a steamer. It was soggy and did not appear to have been made using pizza dough. Wasn’t a big deal as we weren’t expecting gourmet fare at an 11-room inn and didn’t detract much from a great stay overall. However, we think they would be better off taking the pizza off the menu and removing dried out cheeses from the cheese plate. Would recommend an Ooni or equivalent small pizza oven if they want to continue to offer pizza. A 2-minute Ooni pizza made with store-bought pizza dough would have been a huge...
Read moreThis review is for room #1. Room #1 is located on the first floor of the main building just off of a common area where you get coffee and other drinks. The room appeared to be great, until you start to look at the details. The room is a bit shabby mostly due to the shower. They don’t show you the shower in the pictures of the room, but it’s old and dated. The water pressure was all over the place and there were flies in the room, which is not the best impression. ||After check-in I went back to ask Joyce (the person that checked us in) if she could help us with reservations for my husbands birthday and she said she was busy at the moment and I should try back tomorrow, really? You can’t write this down and leave a note for someone in the morning? WTF. The next morning I saw someone waiting patiently for someone to show up at the front desk for help, ridiculous.||The worst part of this room is that the door is a joke. It’s off kilter and there is a gap at the top of the door so you can hear EVERYTHING!!! Starting at 6 am. We didn’t sleep at all because you can also hear every word being said in the room upstairs along with every other sound. They have a white noise machine in the room which doesn’t even begin to cover the sound. ||Moving on to breakfast…you may or may not receive what you actually ordered. I only stayed 3 nights and they messed up my breakfast order 2 out of 3 days. Also, it’s diner food. So be prepared for greasy overcooked eggs and potatoes. ||FYI room #2 is right next to #1 and it’s clear that it has the...
Read moreWe had the most amazing stay at Milliken Creek Inn. My husband and I took our mini-moon in Napa and it was our second time visiting the area. We wanted to stay somewhere close enough to downtown but also somewhere that felt cozy, intimate, and had views of beautiful Napa. Milliken Creek Inn was the complete package. Settled right next to Milliken Creek, the views were absolutely stunning and the Inn felt private, luxurious, and so cozy. The service was impeccable and everyone we had the pleasure of speaking with went above and beyond. The rooms/property were also kept immaculate at all times. They have complimentary wine available at all time, as well as soft drinks, toiletries, tea, coffee, and more. My husband and I especially loved the wine and cheese hour they provide every night (which was perfect timing when we came back from our busy day out in Napa/Sonoma). We also had breakfast every morning delivered to our room and it was 10/10. I could not recommend Milliken Creek Inn more if you are looking for a place that feels authentic and intimate, while also providing luxurious levels of service and beautiful rooms. We will definitely be back for another...
