I shop there frequently and the prices are pretty good. I've been having issues with employees making slanderous and pretty cruel comments in and out of the store. Had one employee use fowl language to me in the parking lot, and occasionally, I would pretty much stand up for myself and insult back. Anyways I have a disorder that makes it difficult to be around crowds, stores etc so I appear very serious,, angry and strange even to an average person because I tense up, I get dizzy and I have a difficult time focusing my eyes which also makes people uncomfortable around me. It's a simple misunderstanding. I overheard the main manager say to a female employee, "There's something wrong with him." These comments make it more difficult to enter busy businesses. I am also homeless unfortunately and have a very hard time finding places to park, sleep or rest so I parked on the soscol side of wallmart off the property, watched a movie basically minding my own business and not committing any crime. I look up and see the head manager and 2 employees watching me through the barred plant and lawn side of the store. He had employees watch me for some time, then he called the police department. They hovered around me for quite a while. They've made comments about me being some druggy (I have a history of occasional substance abuse), which is none of anyone's business unless I'm harming, behaving badly. I'd rather be homeless and struggling with mental/substance abuse than have a horrible, cruel, discriminative attitude twords people. I never commit crimes, insult people to the degree their employees do, and mind my own business. I'm being singled out and borderline harassed because of my condition. Assumptions and misunderstandings are all they need to prove I'm a bad person? I am just homeless and struggle with personal issues. I've seen people parked on or off the property for months, smoking meth and other drugs on and near the property, drugs being sold openly, campers basically living there, and I'm being targeted. I admit tho, my only failing is that I get upset and frustrated with...
Read moreEDIT (CRIMMINAL DECEPTIVE PRACTICES): Even worse than before. I was looking at the "clearance" section, 03/18/24, and I thought to myself that these prices seemed high for clearance. Now, I happen to like the brand NATIVE and use it myself. I noticed a NATIVE body lotion in the clearance section with an obvious yellow "CLEARANCE" label on them for $13.97. I immediately knew something was up, NATIVE body lotion is normally $13.97. I went to the lotion isle and found what I was looking for, the normal shelf price, also listed at $13.97. I've added photos as proof. This Walmart is manipulating prices in a dishonest way as to convince customers items are on clearance when in reality they are normally priced. This is indeed a crime and I will report this WITH my photo proof to the FTC. I recommend that nobody shop here at this Walmart until a thorough investigation is completed.
OLD REVIEW: Although this Walmart is clean, which is definetly appreciated, it has some pretty major problems.
The selection of food is often very limited here. Unlike a REAL Walmart Supercenter the selction is more similar to a Walmart market. I often look for mainstream food items that I can find easily at the Vacaville, American Canyon, or Fairfield Walmarts to no avail. For some reason the manager here doesn't order some very simple foods, a lot of which appeal or poorer or ethnic people, so I can only assume it's a racial or classist biased.
The other issue is actually employees. At busier times/days you will often find a group of employees gathered together and chatting with each other while customers are waiting and they ignore them. They act as though being in a group protects them from work. This is usually amplified when one employee is doing a "pricecheck" on an item while the others stand around and chat. You don't need 6 people to pricecheck 1 item for 8 minutes.
If I have the option I go to a different Walmart or...
Read moreI haven't always had the best experience in the past, but ajustments have been made & it shows. I have with time grown fond of many of the staff here as they will make you feel at home. For the most part the store is clean organized & stocked. I have seen attitude adjustment & personal growth from many of the employees & I'm excited for them. I always expect everyone to be treated with respect and to be provided with good customer service & a smile & I can see that they are getting better at it. I really do hope this store continues to grow under new management and I look forward to continue visiting this store and not only purchasing what I need but also to say Hi with a smile & as always express my gratitude towards those Walmart employees who make the buying experience a pleasant and enjoyable one. I mean come on how hard is it to give good customer service with a smile and make the customers experience a wonderful one, it really isn't that hard. I do recommend stopping at this Walmart, I hated visiting before and now I like it very much in the future I expect to love coming here. To all those employees that welcome me & everyone else with a smile & are always looking for the customer to have a great...
