I was stranded on the side of Hwy 40 Westbound for 3hrs before getting towed to the Budget Inn of Needles around 11:30pm. They were the only location that would allow my mom to help me pay for the room without having a physical card in hand (due to my circumstances). It's a small family owned and ran establishment. During my first day here without transportation, the owners son was kind enough to offer me a ride to the local Dollar General for some supplies and he wouldn't accept anything in return for the ride. They gave me a fair rate for the week and greeted me daily with kindness asking if I was okay or needed anything for the room. They even checked in to see how the repairs were coming along with my van. The rooms are slightly outdated, and definitely not luxurious but they are safe & clean with TV/cable, a mini fridge, and a microwave. The families kindness alone is worth stopping in for the night.

All other hotels in area cost around $150/night & up. This Budget Inn was clean, comfortable & owned & managed by a great family of people. Price was inexpensive but service was top notch. Lots of vehicle parking. Late night clerk let's us park under their awning, but that wouldn't leave enough room for other travelers so we stayed on outside. They kept a watch on our car, motorcycles & trailer. Late night clerk was so very nice. I don't remember her charging for our dog. No breakfast served, but we were only interested in sleeping. We paid around $40-45/night. Better accommodations than the more expensive hotels. What makes our stay best is the friendly staff. I'm a travel nurse. I stay at hotels often. I highly recommend this motel to everyone.

Rooms are dated, but they're clean, the beds are comfy, and the staff is friendly, which makes this a great place to crash mid-road-trip. Plus, the goofy over-the-bed painting in room 107 is top notch!

Highly reccomended! I have been staying at this location for years. The owners are incredible and accommodating. There are several places to choose from here in Needles but I always stay at the Budget Inn because of the price, cleanliness, friendliness, and the family atmosphere. I read a few reviews complaining about the noise, and some reviews mention a hard mattress, and a loud AC. This is all true, however the mattress is bed bug free, a thin matress pad takes care of the hard mattress for those of us that are accustomed a pillow top and plan on staying a bit, the constant A.C. does drown out the highway and train. I am very fond of this place and will continue...
