I wanted to like this restaurant but, everything was disappointing. The interior is run down and had the feel of a thrift store crossed with a 70's dinner, with Chinese paintings on the wall. This alone really doesn't mean anything, some of the best food I've ever had is in the shadiest surroundings. The staff were not present and didn't revisit the table for a long time after they gave us menus. Then after they brought the food to the table we didn't see them again until we called for the check. They didn't really help at any time during the dining experience. The food was bland. Chinese is one of my favorite cuisines, but there was no flavor in any of their dishes. Even the trademark orange chicken of Chinese cuisine lacked any orange flavor. It almost tasted the same as the Szechuan shrimp. The Moo Shu with pancakes was terrible. It tasted like old leftover over-cooked scrambled eggs. That feeling you get an hour later after eating Chinese food, wanting to eat your leftovers, didn't happen. We didn't even want to eat it in the restaurant.

We had dinner at the Panda Garden while on an overnight in May, 2023. They were located next door to a motel we were spending the night at. We ate in the restaurant on a week night. We found the staff to be friendly, but not overly friendly. Service was quite quick considering there were a good amount of customers at the time we were visiting. We both found the food to be quite good. It's interesting how dishes differ compared to different parts of the country. Some standard dishes offered on the east coast were not offered at the Panda Garden. But at the same time they offered a dish that I have been craving for years, that doesn't seemed to be offered on the east coast for a very long time now. The prices seemed quite reasonable for the meals the Panda Garden provided. The atmosphere would probably be the area I would improve. Although it wasn't bad. All in all, we found the Panda Garden to be a nice break from the places we have been eating along our tour. I would definitely recommend them for someone considering visiting them.

To begin my meal, I ordered a small Wonton Soup. The wontons were flavorful and a decent size. The vegetables were fresh and perfectly cooked. The soup was delicious overall. For my entrée, I ordered the Orange Chicken and Shrimp Fried Rice. The orange chicken had a generous amount of sauce on it, which I loved. The chicken itself was crunchy on the outside and tender & juicy on the inside. It had great flavor overall. I recommend trying it. The shrimp fried rice was also really good. The shrimp was slightly salty and crispy on the outside. It was cooked well on the inside. The rice was also cooked well and had great flavor. It complimented the orange chicken well. Enjoyed my meal and the service was great. Thank you!

Panda Garden is a MUST-STOP for everyone traveling through Needles, CA! The restaurant does not stand out from the exterior, and if it had not been for the cashier lady at the Chevron across from Panda Garden I wouldn’t have even noticed it. As a matter of fact, I have had passed it several times during my travels between Yuma, Arizona and Las Vegas, Nevada and I had never noticed the establishment before! The small single story building could probably easily be mistaken for an older IHOP house or something similar to that style of architecture too. Once I heard about it I decided to skip the old fast food joints in that region and Quartzite, AZ too, and found plenty of parking spots in front of the building. Once inside we were greeted by a kind Chinese lady and seated by a friendly Chinese man. Being that I LOVE Cantonese style Chinese food, I asked if their Chinese food style was Cantonese too, but they said that their was not, and although they told me their style I can’t remember it at the time, and ensured me that it too was tasty. My girlfriend, her teenage finicky eater son, and I took a gamble and decided to order a large bowl of War Won Ton soup, chicken fried rice, house special chow mein, orange chicken, and some egg rolls. I figured that this would be lunch and dinner before we hit the road and traveled back to Yuma, AZ. The first thing to arrive was the War Won Ton soup, and folks, I don’t think that I’ve ever had a more delicious version than this one! It was absolutely amazing, tasty, and the chicken was cut thinly to where it picked up the juices and flavors of the soup! As I enjoyed the soup, deep inside, I thought the idea that if the soup was this good then I could not wait to try the next dishes! Both my girlfriend and I devoured the entire bowl, and we shared how amazingly delicious it was. As we were almost done with the War Won Ton soup the rest of the dishes came in. My girlfriend’s son, who is the picky eater, began to try and sample small portions of the several dishes, and let me tell you all, that boy ate almost everything! At the end, I had expected to have plenty of leftover food, but every dish was so delicious that we ended up taking just a small tiny box to go! LOL!!! This eating experience was the highlight of our trip, and we never stopped talking about it till we got back to Yuma, Az too! I can’t wait to go back here again!!! I definitely recommend everyone to try Panda Garden, especially the orange chicken and the house special chow mein!!!...

Came in yesterday to order some food this was my second time coming here wanted the lunch special but i came to late and it was already over (which is fine) so i ended up ordering the food we wanted ir in the big portion (the only other portions they offer besides the lunch special) and im assuming they got mad, annoyed,or butthurt but the food was the blandest shit ive ever tasted i may be a chef but i cant make chinese food yet and i still think i wouldve done 1000x better not to mention the kung pao chicken was 95% vegetables minus well call it the kung pao garden bowl the chicken fried rice had no flavor and the chicken looked like it was steamed and unseasoned my 80 yr old white neighbor couldve done better and the white rice was the best thing out of it all it was such a huge disappointment i dont even want to go back especially spending 57$ worth of food and every last thing was blander than the dirt on the floor its so dissapointing idk if it was a new cook or they simply got upset cause of the amount of food its upsetting because our first visit was so well the food tasted amazing and everything it feels like this was done on purpose we will not be going back👎🏽😤

Edit : i was not the person you believe i was i ordered to go and n top of that me and my wife got extremely sick and had diarrhea the next day and our stomachs were in...

Took four years to be talked into going here. Heard negative things about the place. Well went with another couple, at 5:30 pm but didn't know they don't have a dinner menu. If you want sweet/sour chicken and sweet sour pork you will have to order two complete dinners. Long story, asked for water for four the texting waitress must have been busy since we got two glasses about 10 minutes in. Couple with us got their food fairly quickly and then my sweet and sour chicken. All food was Luke warm. Then my wife's noodle mix arrived cold sent back to be heated...came back warm but the real problem didn't accure till the bug came out of the mix and jump three times across her plate and disappear into the mix.Tried to talk to the man on duty who kept saying....I see no bug, I see no bug and proceeded to dump the dish into a to-go tray and tear apart the dinner looking for the bug and yelling at my wife. Needless to say will not go again. P.S. ordered 4 dinners and got one dish of 2 cups rice to share....one and a half pots of hot tea and a waitress that was to busy to wait on us..would have liked a tour of the kitchen. Of course wife did without dinner. Food subpar quanity at dinner hours small and waitress...
