Panda Garden is a MUST-STOP for everyone traveling through Needles, CA! The restaurant does not stand out from the exterior, and if it had not been for the cashier lady at the Chevron across from Panda Garden I wouldn’t have even noticed it. As a matter of fact, I have had passed it several times during my travels between Yuma, Arizona and Las Vegas, Nevada and I had never noticed the establishment before! The small single story building could probably easily be mistaken for an older IHOP house or something similar to that style of architecture too. Once I heard about it I decided to skip the old fast food joints in that region and Quartzite, AZ too, and found plenty of parking spots in front of the building. Once inside we were greeted by a kind Chinese lady and seated by a friendly Chinese man. Being that I LOVE Cantonese style Chinese food, I asked if their Chinese food style was Cantonese too, but they said that their was not, and although they told me their style I can’t remember it at the time, and ensured me that it too was tasty. My girlfriend, her teenage finicky eater son, and I took a gamble and decided to order a large bowl of War Won Ton soup, chicken fried rice, house special chow mein, orange chicken, and some egg rolls. I figured that this would be lunch and dinner before we hit the road and traveled back to Yuma, AZ. The first thing to arrive was the War Won Ton soup, and folks, I don’t think that I’ve ever had a more delicious version than this one! It was absolutely amazing, tasty, and the chicken was cut thinly to where it picked up the juices and flavors of the soup! As I enjoyed the soup, deep inside, I thought the idea that if the soup was this good then I could not wait to try the next dishes! Both my girlfriend and I devoured the entire bowl, and we shared how amazingly delicious it was. As we were almost done with the War Won Ton soup the rest of the dishes came in. My girlfriend’s son, who is the picky eater, began to try and sample small portions of the several dishes, and let me tell you all, that boy ate almost everything! At the end, I had expected to have plenty of leftover food, but every dish was so delicious that we ended up taking just a small tiny box to go! LOL!!! This eating experience was the highlight of our trip, and we never stopped talking about it till we got back to Yuma, Az too! I can’t wait to go back here again!!! I definitely recommend everyone to try Panda Garden, especially the orange chicken and the house special chow mein!!!...

Read moreTook four years to be talked into going here. Heard negative things about the place. Well went with another couple, at 5:30 pm but didn't know they don't have a dinner menu. If you want sweet/sour chicken and sweet sour pork you will have to order two complete dinners. Long story, asked for water for four the texting waitress must have been busy since we got two glasses about 10 minutes in. Couple with us got their food fairly quickly and then my sweet and sour chicken. All food was Luke warm. Then my wife's noodle mix arrived cold sent back to be heated...came back warm but the real problem didn't accure till the bug came out of the mix and jump three times across her plate and disappear into the mix.Tried to talk to the man on duty who kept saying....I see no bug, I see no bug and proceeded to dump the dish into a to-go tray and tear apart the dinner looking for the bug and yelling at my wife. Needless to say will not go again. P.S. ordered 4 dinners and got one dish of 2 cups rice to share....one and a half pots of hot tea and a waitress that was to busy to wait on us..would have liked a tour of the kitchen. Of course wife did without dinner. Food subpar quanity at dinner hours small and waitress...
