The pros: They have a microwave, mini-fridge, hair dryer, coffee maker, TV, and an iron with iron board. The location is great, right across the lot, and road they have a McDonald's, Holiday Foods, and two gas-stations. It's pet friendly. The cons: The beds are too firm, making for an uncomfortable night of sleep, and the pillows are very flat. The walls are extremely thin, so we were able to hear dogs clearly barking most of the night as well as being able to hear conversations of other guests in the next room. The shampoo/conditioner bottle was so tiny that it would only work for someone with VERY short hair. We had to go to the gas station across the road to get enough to take our showers. The remote to the TV in our room didn't work. We talked to the front desk about it but ultimately ended up having to borrow a remote from a neighboring guest for the night. As soon as we shut everything down to go to sleep, we struggled to fall asleep because of an appliance that began to make very loud rattling and buzzing noises. If I had no other options, I would come back, but I'd rather not.

For $62.50 (including tax) you can't beat it! Renovations look good. I thought the linoleum floor would be cold, but it wasn't. Plus they have two rugs on both sides of the bed. As you see, they have been doing renovations. My room had a wierd smell, like dog shampoo. I asked to be moved, and they accommodated. Breakfast is still down because board of health hasn't gotten out to approve renovations; McDonald's os right next door. I would stay here again.

We stopped here for one night with our dog. We appreciated the space in the back of the lot to park our larger rv type vehicle. There were beautiful views from the hotel, the room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The outside of the property was also well maintained. Would definitely stay here again.

Was planning to travel through on interstate 64 to the Midwest and was taking the family dog with. Needed a place that accepted pets. Our normal Hampton Inn New Albany did not accept pets. So I went online to find another place to stay. Chose this Red Roof Inn location because they were not far from where we planned to stop for the evening. Spoke with Rhonda to make the reservation for two rooms. She was absolutely wonderful and polite. Made the reservation and was good to go.

Stopped by to check in and met Ethan at the front desk. He had an attitude from the moment I walked in. After I gave my name - he looked up my reservation. He said I needed to leave a $100 cash deposit PER ROOM or that I could use a credit card. I don't use credit cards, so I offered my debit card like I use everywhere else. He said he could not use that and rather than a conversation - simply points very expressively to the sign posted. So as I go to pull the $200 cash deposit out of my pocket - I am asking what it takes to get my cash back.

He gets annoyed by the fact that I am asking about the process. And he clearly gets more annoyed by the multiple questions - because we all know with the debit card - you have a dispute resolution process through the bank. Not so with cash. So I put the $200 down and he fills out a form. I ask what happens with my $200 and how long is it going to take to get it back in the morning. I could see them issuing me a check or something crazy. He says it will only take a few minutes. So I go to sign he cash deposit form. It says "cash deposit for incidentals" so I ask - what incidentals are in the room? He says in case our dog causes damage - or we destroy anything. I told him that was not an incidental but a deposit and the form says incidentals. I said by definition an incidental includes things such as: minibar, laundry, telephone calls, transportation, Spa, movies, etc, not damages. I explained to him again that I am frustrated with the policy not with him.

He gets aggravated and points to the sign and says I can cancel my reservation if I'd like. So at this point I am frustrated and again telling him I'm not upset with him but the policy. I then ask for the manager's phone number. He proudly and smirkingly points to the label maker sticker on his badge that says manager. Oh boy. So I go out and talk to my wife and we agree even if we have to drive the remaining 10 hours of our trip and arrive at 4am to our final destination - we will do that over staying there. Highly recommend you reconsider as long as Ethan is there.

While I went back in to cancel my reservation - another person was inside canceling their reservation because of the disrespect Ethan showed to him and his wife. This gentlemen was a 20 year Army...

My husband, seven year old daughter and I checked into this hotel on March 2nd and were to check out the following Wednesday morning. We were placed in a room on the first floor that smelled like wet dog and was right next to the exit door where people were taking their dog in and out all hours and going out to smoke. A couple hours after check in and having the "manager" tell us rudely that we couldn't move rooms, I took a shower and my husband and daughter laid down for a nap. While I was in the shower the manager guy came knocking and accusing my husband of smoking in our room and wanted to be let in. He let him pop his head in but told him that I was in the shower and he would need to come back. He refused to leave our door until my husband promised I would come to the front desk. I went up and suggested maybe the smell was from the insecure side door which was NEVER locked and where people are smoking right around the corner, that we had used air freshener due to the dog smell which we had already complained about, and he INSISTED on following me very very closely back to my room and coming in behind me. He scared my daughter to death but we had already paid through and we decided to stay. The next morning at 6:45am we were woken up by a dog crazy barking and all kinds of noise, so the lady now at the desk agreed to move us to the second floor. Nothing else was said Sunday or Monday, although the "manager" who didn't wear a name tag was staring at my daughter and I every time we went to the lobby alone and we were creeped out. Tuesday afternoon I went to get in the shower again while my husband and daughter napped... Again as soon as I was undressed and water was running the door was being banged on like crazy scaring my child AGAIN. I had to get dressed again to get the door and have my child put on pants while this man screamed at the door that he could hear us talking and that we were smoking and we had to let him in. I opened the door slightly and he pushed himself in our room. It was terrifying. He then told us we had to leave immediately when I said I thought he was trying to catch me in the shower and I wanted to report him. The owner was EXTREMELY RUDE to us and my seven year old was absolutely distraught. This is NOT a safe hotel!!!! There were also many times there were at least 16 construction workers in the lobby, grown men, with no security. Do not go alone as a woman especially not with children. My daughter cried and was scared all night at the hotel we booked afterwards which was also non smoking and we had no problems. This hotel has a predator for a "manager"... He said his name was Jeremy but he never had on a name tag. He has dreds and is younger with duck...

This place was so disgusting. If my husband and I hadn't been so tired, we would've tried to get our money back and go on down the road. I wasn't expecting a lot since it was a Motel 6 and it was really cheap ($54), but I was thoroughly surprised at how gross it actually was. First, only half the lights in the room worked, which isn't really a big deal, but it's the first thing we noticed. Second, the bathroom was absolutely disgusting. It was pretty obvious that it hadn't been cleaned in a while, but the interesting part about that...the towels were damp. And on to the towels, they were yellow and brown. I only used them to try to swat the fly that had taken up residence in the room. Also, there was something wrong with the toilet because it ran nearly constantly and there were pipes leaking in the wall or something because all of the paint was blistered and mildewed. The floors were disgusting, so neither of us touched them with our bare feet or socks...we just wore our shoes all the time. And finally, I checked out the sheets. They were stained and disgusting, but it looked like they had at least been run through a washer (no detergent or bleach obviously); however, the pillow cases were disgusting. I broke down and went to the front desk to ask for clean ones because I can deal with a lot but I draw the line at other people's hair on my pillow case. The really sweet (seriously she's the only redeeming quality of the crap hole) lady at the front desk told me that we were the second room to ask for clean ones that day. All in all, I was more comfortable sleeping in the transient tents at Bagram Airfield than sleeping in this hotel. Soooo.......that's saying a lot about how disgusting it is. I would recommend the owners invest in bleach and detergent because they surely aren't using...
