Mister Hardware — Local services in New Albany

My husband and I have been shopping at Mister Hardware off and on for the past 10 years that we’ve lived in Georgetown. Every single time, the staff is helpful, kind, and always willing to go the extra mile.

But today was the day I felt compelled to finally write a review. I’ve been in the market for a new weed eater—I'm the designated weed eater in our household because I genuinely enjoy it! My old one gave out at the end of last season, and after doing a lot of research, I found that Mister Hardware carried the brand I wanted (just one model below what I had originally been eyeing).

I called this morning and spoke with Phil, who was so patient and thorough in answering all of my questions. Since I also work locally, I decided to swing by on my lunch break. Phil took the time to walk me through the weed eater in-store, showed me how it worked, helped me adjust the length to fit my height, and even attached and adjusted the strap for me so it’d be ready to go as soon as I got home. He also walked me through how to restring it, step-by-step, once I run out.

Honestly, it was one of the best customer service experiences I’ve had in a long time. Huge shoutout to Phil—A++++ service...

I've passed though here on my way to work for over 10 years, and I can't believe what I'd been missing! This place is truly a "Diamond in the Rough" when it comes to a good selection of goods...Along with knowledgeable & friendly service. They seem to have a good sense of who needs help, and who doesn't when they arrive. (In other words, they don't "over-pressure" you for a sale, and I appreciate that!) The lady at the front cashier station is very friendly and clearly states that if you aren't satisfied with a purchase, they will gladly help you to find a suitable replacement or a refund. This is going to be my "Go-To" hardware...

This is a hardware store to end all hardware stores! Intimate yet with a very healthy inventory, people ready and willing to help, Mr Hardware is what a hardware store used to be. For many its the cavernous Home Depot or Lowes where you need an app to find stuff and good luck finding people to help or ask questions. Mr Hardware went above and beyond getting me a mulch blade for my riding mower, which apparently was a challenge and in between that visit I came back a few times finding different things I needed for various projects always seeing items I would return for later.
