Store Space Self Storage — Local services in New Albany

Take notice - all these review are from "The Storage Station" - it is no longer that. It's Store Space Self Storage, you call's go to a call-center. You can never get a hold of the local manager, if there even is one. I foresaw these issues and quickly emptied and closed my account. I've still received an invoice but have been "assured" my account is closed. There's nothing good about this place anymore ... also, laughably if you wanted to pay on the phone it'll cost ya a sweet $9.95. I'd look elsewhere. Oh and ... no local manager available on Tuesday and Sunday "because he/she is the only one" - another instance of a large corporation taking something good and making it not good.

UPDATE: Received a call from the District Manager regarding the review. It's strange how the 2 call center agents couldn't get me in touch with anyone locally (or districtly I guess) but this google review got their attention - think about that. My review still stands because I foresee problems in the future for anyone that rents here unless this company changes their business model and idea of business completely. Rent at...

This place is impossible to reach to cancel. The location does not have an office and no human is ever on site. I have called over 20 times, left 11 voicemails (which state you will be called back within 24 hours) but no one ever returns your call and they continue to charge you despite multiple messages left to cancel. There is no email communication upon rental or any other time. No response to messages sent through contact us page. If you call the rental/sales office, they tell you they can’t see sales contracts and to call another number, which no one answers or returns messages either. They don’t tell you upon rental that most units are interior so you have to walk long halls to access (or that there’s no office if you have an issue). Save your money and rent elsewhere because this place will scam you out of $100s since they do not answer or return messages allowing...

Updating my previous 5 star rating to a 2 on 8/20/21. I use to be a long term renter here with a rate agreement that we both agreed to. Since new company "Store Space" took over, first they charged me for rental insurance after I informed them my home owners covered the rental unit. I asked for a refund on the amount they charged me but didn't get one. Then shortly after that incident they raised my rental rate. When I inquired about the new rate, I was told to move into another unit if I wanted to pay my old agreed upon rate. So now I packed everything up and completely left the facility. Can't say I'd recommend this place under the Store Space management. Also, many of these older good reviews are from when business was operated under different management "The Storage Station". Consider what you're getting into before...
