*DO NOT GO HERE *
Let me share my awful experience with you. After driving many hours and finally expecting to have a place to lay my head we pull into the parking lot of this inn and had to wait to get a parking spot due to the literal crackhead that was walking around like a zombie, still we thought let’s keep going. We pull into a spot and noticed in our rear view somebody on a bike that was cupping his eyes into cars windows to see what was inside. I felt very unsafe with this since I had tons of stuff in my car as I am moving. We get the key and go to our room on the other side. Many people staring at us and hanging out near our room making us feel uneasy. We enter the room and were hit with the smell of what I could only compare to something rotting. We begin a check of the room… covered with flies, staining all over the sheets, burn holes in the sheets, small black/brownish bugs in the sheets that appear to be bed bugs. We could hear screaming and banging on the wall. We certainly couldn’t sleep there and wouldn’t want to leave my car there after witnessing the outside environment. We go to the clerk who seemed annoyed to attend us, we explain our issues expecting him to want to come see the room. Instead he sighs loudly and goes “ come this way” brings us on the other side opens another door and I realize he was trying to get us to stay there… I quickly explain we don’t feel comfortable in the rooms as clearly they weren’t cleaned and the inn does not care about the cleanliness of their rooms and that we couldn’t trust the people outside who were literally looking into peoples cars. He got super mad and starts fast walking away from us and goes “ you’ll have to figure it out with airbnb” . No apologies or anything just absolutely rude. The whole experience was crazy. This inn needs more respectful employees, they need to learn how to clean or replace sheets, ensure the security of its parking lot environment for paying customers and overall maybe they just should not have the business. If you are looking for reviews for this place please to not go here. I wouldn’t want anyone else to endure what we had to. It’s poor behavior , absolutely no star inn. We were stranding for 3 hours after struggling to find a place to go. If you ran into the same issue I would recommend going to the Sleep In, it was roughly $116 , ($50 refundable deposit) and breakfast included. It’s no five star but certainly more of a sense of security and cleanliness. Though i understand everyone needs a place to stay it’s up to the inn to address these issues which they decided to just huff n puff and run away instead. I could go on and on but you all get the point. If you do stay here do it at your own risk , even if you think your car will be safe or you don’t have one just consider the fact that those beds are not cleaned whatsoever. Do yourself a favor and keep looking for something else . Getting it because it’s cheaper then the rest is not worth it I promise you.
I think I covered all that I needed to say so with that being said this business should stop operating since its owners clearly don’t care for it or for other people. 0 star for sure but it only lets me post by...
Read moreOk so first off, we got there and the owner it looked like was checking in a guest. The guest then turned to us as he walked out and said you better watch this guy. I could tell this was not about to be a good experience. Checked in, went to see the room and it wasn't the kitchenette that i booked online so we went back down and he was trying to charge me more for what i previously booked already. The manager is a Indian guy who is very rude and doesn't understand any kind of hospitality or remorse and doesn't really care about how you feel regardless if he is wrong or not. So he finally gave us the key to the room i already booked and payed for online and we walk up there and immediately it smelled like dirty cigarette butts, fish ass and anything stinky you can think of. there was BLOOD i repeat BLOOD on the floor and a roach in the toilet. We lifted up the bed to find BED BUGS and ticks.. there was no way in hell i was staying there to get bit up and catch diseases. So we walked back down to get a refund and get out of that sketchy place. Side note: there were people selling drugs on the corner, looked like his family (two ladies) were living there were the house keepers and closely watched our every move.. So we went back to get our refund and he tried to say no refunds after 15 mins, very rudely didnt care to know what we witnessed and just wanted the money. We even caught the bed bug and brought it to him so they couldnt try to cover it up. He went and got the maids and they tried to get loud with us and argue, needless to say we got our money after a bunch or arguing. I do not see how anyone who was living there can stay in those rooms with the conditions. I will be reporting this place to the VA health department and Norfolk police department for investigations... STAY FAR FAR FAR AWAY FROM THIS HELL HOLE. the only good was that it was close on the beach but not worth it for the living conditions even if it was...
Read moreThe unfortunate thing about Google ratings is that anybody can rate a business and you don't know whether to believe the good ones or the horrible ones. In this case, I didn't see the horrible ones until after I had booked, and it was last minute so to cancel would have been to forfeit $175, one night stay. So we went. Traffic was a nightmare and we were late for our event so my initial inspection was cursory. They only give you 15 minutes to ask for a new room. Not even sure they would give you a refund then. The room appeared ok, old, and frankly in poor repair, but I was mostly interested in beds. I pulled back the covers and thought they were clean. However when we returned at midnight it was clear the one bed had been slept in. Knowing we would get no refund and it is summer at the beach my husband went and requested clean linens. The night clerk wasn't even surprised. I made the mistake of taking my shoes off to walk around on bare wooden floors. My feet were black in 10 min. I used to run around barefoot on blacktop as a kid, my feet had never been this black. Anyway we slept, the beds were actually quite comfortable but tbh I am still worried about bedbugs even though I checked. On check out I reported my issues to the day clerk his response was as if I told him his hotel was magnificent. He showed no concern whatsoever and keep in mind I was not trying to ask for a refund. Though in all fairness when someone pays $175 for a single night they should be entitled to clean sheets, floor and a bathtub that doesn't appear to be 100 years old with the corresponding years of grime that go with it. Oh and the beach front in front of the hotel has people camping overnight on the beach. How this place passes health inspections is beyond me. If they had offered a free breakfast I would have been afraid to eat it. This place makes the poorest campground bathrooms look...
