Charleston Heights Motel — Hotel in North Charleston

"If I could, I would rate this hotel zero stars. The rooms were extremely small, unclean, and poorly maintained, reflecting a serious lack of proper property management. While the staff was courteous, their efforts could not make up for the unsanitary conditions, including heavily stained carpets, curtains, and bedding. Even more troubling were the unprofessional and racially insensitive remarks overheard during my stay, which created an uncomfortable and unwelcoming environment. I didn;'t want to give any stars but you cant post unless you give one star.. The only good thing i can say is that the owner and his wife are very nice. I think the pic's explain it all!! For a few dollars. more you can stay at Quality Inn or something similar. I paid for the room had to give a deposit for room key and remote. (this was new for me}. Then go to room and the room was way out dated, The tv was a old box tv with wires hanging down. There was no shower curtain. there was a little window ac unit there with microwave and minifridge. Just got off the phone with the better business Bureau. This place is a prostitution and drug housing. My door wouldn't lock, no smoke detectors, stains on the sheets, shower was covered in mold, a piece of cardboard covering a hole in the ceiling. My TV nor air conditioning would not come on and owners refused to give my money back. I took my 3 small children there and when I pulled in I was immediately informed by a group of dealers that they knew I was the police. Please do not spend your money on this place.
