We stayed here last minute helping friends get off the side of the highway. I have 18 years of experience in the hotel industry, front desk as well as head of housekeeping so I thought I'd share my opinion. So it was definitely under renovation just my assumption but there should be signs stating so. We stayed in room 230 and the door next to us was ajar which was unnerving but after going down the hall you could tell they were replacing the key/door locks and painting. When we went in we realized how small it was but the second thing I noticed that the bed wasnt the best.. At best looked almost like a big cot with a mattress...idk wasn't a fan. Our friends had a bathroom that leaked under the sink. But there room was a litle bigger. And all the phones (circa 1990) were in the drawers in the nighstands. The shower heads and pressure were nice, but our exhaust fan was kind of hanging off the ceiling and very loud! The tvs are old and the picture was bad. There was dirt on the floors, nightstand drawer broken so wouldn't go in all the way. Missing our iron and my blow dryer didn't work. They had ok vending area but their pool is shut down due to remodeling it BUT still advertises it on there sign ! Charges a deposit but never checks the room at checkout so that was really weird! I don't think as of now its worth the price. They should definitely be discounting guests because it's not finished. I also wanted to mention the only door available at the time of our stay was the front, there were signs saying if they catch you opening the door they fine you a 100 dollars also if they catch you smoking on the property it's a 100 dollars as well. O and don't loose your key they gave us one thought we locked in our room and were told we couldn't get another....thank the lord my husband had it in his pocket or idk what we would have done. Definity not worh the money..maybe once...
Read moreIf I could rate this a zero star I WOULD, Where do I start? I arrived to Torledo today mainly for the zoo after hard circumstances of my car breaking down I was forced to be in a hotel while my car was in the shop until tomorrow so this is what let me to this hotel. The pictures were so awesome on the website and even better the price. So I booked and I arrived at the hotel and was greeted by nobodyđ nobody was by the desk so I dialed â0â on the phone to get a staff member to book me in, I was greeted by a foreign fellow that checked me in so I was assigned room 319 and as soon as I stepped foot in the room I knew something was off⌠the bed I laid in FELT LIKE A PRISON BED MY GOD!!! I was also greeted by a piece of gum on the headboard and NO WORKING TV. I instantly grabbed my gf and went to the lobby to demand a different room, the fellow agreed but he first wanted to see what was wrong in room 319 so we waited in the lobby for 20 MIN before he returned and then he gave us a new room key to 219âŚoh room 219 where do I start I was greeted to to bugs on the window seal, no working tv, mystery stained sheets, and a big hand print on THE HEADBOARDâŚwell ig I found out why the sheets were stainedâŚAt this point I had enough I booked a new hotel somewhere else. So we went back to the lobby and told the fellow that were leaving bc this is unbearable and absolutely ridiculous, I demanded a refund and only got my deposit 20$ backđŹ the fellow said he simply couldnâtâŚwhat a shame this place is. If youâre thinking of coming here.. DONT. Yes itâs 65$+ but itâs JUST NOT WORTH IT. DRIVE PAST THIS HOTEL!!! Look no further in the reviews bc this is the most accurate and authentic review youâll ever see, thank you for your time...
Read moreI hate getting on Google and leaving bad reviews, however, I donât want another mom to have the same experience I did. I had a long drive with my three young kids and, being a single mom; I needed a cheaper, safe place to stop to give my kids a break from being in the car. The google reviews werenât terrible and the hotel was right off the highway so I thought this was perfect. The lobby was the nicest thing about the stay. And probably the cleanest. Our room was so dirty that my childrenâs feet were literally black after being barefoot in there for less than 2 hours. I could tell right away that it wasnât the safest place for me to be staying alone with my 3 kids. There were a lot of people sitting in their cars in the parking lot. The guy working the front desk didnât say one word to me or even ask for my ID when I checked in. There were people screaming and running down the hallway long past two AM, doors slamming, cars in and out of the parking lot with super loud music playing, which, honestly I wouldnât care too much about if it wasnât so loud that it woke my baby up several times through the night. Our TV in our room wouldnât work. I couldnât get ahold of anyone to figure out the password to the WiFi so I couldnât play movies on my kids iPad. I did not feel even remotely safe and the ONLY thing about the staff that was nice was the man working to get the rooms ready. He was kind and honest and I honestly probably should have left as soon as he told me that it wasnât the best place for kids. I highly would advise spending the extra money to stay somewhere...
