WOW was this place a dump. If you are paying over $10 a night here, then it's too much. I mean hey, the complimentary "broccoli" on the carpet and random pills under cushions were a considerate touch, but since I don't partake they weren't particularly useful to me. The pool and breakfast are both shut down (I assume for COVID, understandable) but that would sure be nice if it stopped advertising that they still are available. The decor was meh, and the ever-present fragrance of weed EVERYWHERE in the hotel really added to the complimentary carpet-buds. Someone ended up even wrapping the smoke detector in a towel in case we did want to light up what they left behind for us. How nice. I particularly enjoyed watching the attendants yell at passing kids to wear their masks, while they themselves never once pulled their mask above their chin while checking me in (or yelling at passing youth). Of the 3 wifi networks we were supplied passwords to, only one worked and required payment. Charming. And to get the remote to work I had to change the batteries myself. On that note, I briefly contemplated a trip to the local Meijer to buy a cheap vacuum and use it in the hallway and stairwells, as it didn't appear they'd received any attention for weeks. Speaking of such, I never once saw a cleaning person in the whole place for my entire 2-day stay. Although while we were out it does seem that a cleaning person DID come in our room, but only to take our used (but hanging) towels and nothing else. No replacements, no new coffee packets, no dumping of the full trash can, no making of the bed, nada.

Had to instantly be switched rooms because it wasn't clean. Neighbors partied from 10pm to 5am, screaming in the hallways. Which the hallways were covered in trash anyways. Bathroom was nice as f, but the sink didn't drain. Multiple non- working wifi connections. I called and then showed proof at the counter he ignored me while on the phone. Not professional at all, but wanted to check the room that I CLEANED to give us our deposit back. (Didn't pick up any of the food or trash on the way up to the 3rd floor either 🙄) I mean I didn't get get bit by anything to say the least. But I could have just went to the Days Inn, I mean shoulda 🤣

This place looks nice from the outside and the lobby. But there were mice in my room running around and roaches.drug needles in the hallway, and people yelling at 3,4,5 am. When told about the mice the guy at the desk said "idk how they get in" other guest were there and reporting the same things.

One star would be too high Got there at 3:03, wasn’t handed my keys until 3:45. Amanda consistently was letting other guests interrupt our transactions, even though there was other representatives around to help.

Called to place 2 rooms on reservation for 2 night, & 1 room for one night on a smoking floor, only to find out I had one room reservation on a non smoking floor.

Online indicated 5 people per room, did not mention only 4 out of 5 can swim per room, and they DO issue wrist bands and charge 10$ per head for any extra which was NOT stated online.

Pool closed for 2 hours 1st night of stay (due to a child getting sick), and the second day @ 4 pm closed down indefinitely for the remainder of the day for the same reason.

TV in my room was not functioning, had to pack my bags, and move at 11 pm to a different room. When I tried to cancel my rooms due to pools being closed (since the pool was the sole reason for me getting my rooms) Amanda told me that since it was after check in time (3) that I would not be eligible for a refund in her opinion, and that the manager was not there to help me. I asked when a manager would be available, and she said she did not know, they make their own hours. So when I left my name and number, she says if I don’t hear from a manager within a week, call back. We’re talking 141.49 dollars, and to just wait a week. Also, what kind of business doesn’t have a manager there on their busiest times, a weekend, or at least one who can answer the phone?! So my sister’s boyfriend goes to the front desk, because at this point, everyone is bummed out and wants to go home. She tells him the same things she told me, and he felt like I did, disregarded and didn’t appreciate with her smart remarks. A guest comes to check in, he tells them he wouldn’t recommend staying, and she calls the police. Now I understand he cannot boycott in their lobby, and he was wrong for saying that to the guests, but of coarse my party was asked to leave while the police monitored them. The female officer even said “Honey, don’t come back, this place is a dive,” she also stated she understood their frustration, and stated she had to do her job and make sure they left the premises. I called Amanda again, to ask her to call the manager at home, or on her cell and to let her know it was a matter of importance, and Amanda said to me “Oh I called her when I had to call the police,” And I responded “I am aware of the situation, I know what took place, but I need to talk to the manager because I do think I should receive a refune- “ at which point she cut me off, and said “I can guarantee you will NOT get a refund” (as she was raising her voice) and I told her I was going to do what I had to to see to it that I would, and that she was not the manager, at that point she raised her voice over mine and said “Let me tell you like this, you will not receive a refund POINT BLANK PERIOD” and hung up on me. I have never had a “professional” speak to me so poorly. While I am aware that because she called the police I may very well not receive a refund, it was not her call to make. She was unprofessional, sarcastic and unhelpful from the very beginning. When I pointed this out to her, she said I’m sorry that’s your opinion, I have done nothing but be professional and helpful to you, and when I cut her off and said that as a customer service rep she should never argue with the customer, she got very agitated and that lead up to her little melt down where she hung up on me. I would not recommend this place to an enemy. She ruined my birthday weekend, and the company good deal of money from me on to let me down one moment...

Worst HOTEL EVER!!! We got there and I asked to check room 1st, Looked at room, all seemed better than expected.. Put stuff in room, left for the day.. When we came back to motel that night,, COMPLETELY DIFFERENT ATMOSPHERE.. was on 2nd floor.. rooms 210 and 213... In between our rooms was a Party going on.. A LOUD PARTY, kids running up and down the hallways, music up LOUD, kids cussing and screaming.. Went to complain and the older guy ( John I think is his name) got annoyed and just said "What again, I was just up there" .. around 3 a.m It finally got quiet.. When we pulled back the covers to go to bed.. there were HOLES ( fist size) all in the sheets.. More than 4, less than 10.. Had to go exchange them ( again John seemed annoyed he had to work) .. Between the 2 rooms we had 3 towels and 2 wash clothes that were so old the dirt did not even come off in the wash and were stained.. ( more towels, again John seemed even more annoyed) Got up on Sunday, talked to "House Keeping Supervisor" ( her words not mine) and asked for service for rooms and EXTRA towels , she replied " We will get right on that", we left for about 10 hrs came back .. dun dun dun.. NO CLEAN ROOMS ( SHOCKER) no extra or clean towels... But, the maids were on 1 room for some reason.. They emptied one trash can ( hmm looking though our stuff perhaps? cause they sure did NOT clean ) Went to front Desk.. ( umm hiya again John, May we have some towels again? poor poor annoyed John, he needs a new job) Oh and BTW, did I mention the liquor bottles by the front door? yea.. Kinda trashy Sunday night.. Monday morning around 5:30 a.m fire alarms started going off, I went to desk and asked if something was wrong and was told, Nah, just lighting hit and she had called to have alarms turned off , she had checked 1st FLOOR..Umm, what about floor 2 and 3? Should I hurry my family out? What about a call saying, Nothing is wrong, alarms were set off by lighting, no need to panic?? That would of been nice.. Also.. No mag apparently EVER comes to work.. I asked ALOT.. He apparently has title but nothing to do at the Hotel .. The desk people have No idea who owns the Hotel either.. I looked it up and let them know.. I am also writing them.. Day 3 tomorrow and I will see if MGR ever showed up to work.. DO NOT STAY HERE.. EVER!! I had to give 1 star.. due to it would not allow me to give .5 star... As far as food.. Ummm, Yea, get a day old pastry some where else.. It would have to...

The zombie apocalypse will begin at the Bridge Pointe Inn & Suites. This is the worst-kept hotel I have ever had the misfortune of spending an evening. The best thing that could happen to this building is fire – a white-hot, cleansing fire.

However, the stay was not without some nostalgia. In college, I lived in a rented house with eight other guys. This hotel brought me back to those days. Orange mold on the shower curtain. Sticky, moist residue on the carpet that seeps through your socks. Ash burns on the blankets and sheets. Drywall screws poking out of the walls just waiting to grab you and never let you go.

If you’ve seen Fight Club, imagine Tyler Durden’s house after Project Mayhem is in full swing and you will be mentally prepared for your stay at this dive. I’m pretty sure the seat under the window would have been too small for Meatloaf, but someone’s body has lain there lifeless… “His name is Robert Paulson.”

I almost forgot about checking in. Typically, having a reservation means that you will be met with a welcoming smile and handed keys to your room promptly. Well, not at Bridge Pointe. It was a thirty minute ordeal, and he wasn’t helping anyone before us. We were worried that the delay would mean the pool would close before we could enjoy it. Well, not quite. The pool was closed, but not because of the slow check-in. The wrinkled notice from the Wood County Health District Environmental Health Division let us know that the pool has been closed… since July 27, 2017 (685 days earlier).

I’d better stop writing this review. The hazmat team has arrived to clean me...
