Spent 2 days at On-Ur-Wa at $39.00 per night after discount. The park is only open from April thru September. It is owned by very helpful and friendly full-timers. The park is very well laid out and big-rig friendly. Each site is a level gravel site with full-hookup and water pressure is at 55 psi. Each site is a pull-thru with a picnic table. Several fires rings were also available. The park is filled with well-trimmed shade trees and perfectly manicured grass. Propane is available along with a small store with-in the office. There is a fenced in dog-park. The Wi-Fi was good for a RV park but there were only 6 campers total. The laundry/bathrooms/showers were neat & clean; however I did not use them. The neighbor is a truck stop/convenience store. It was very busy and therefore could be noisy, if that is a concern. No highway noise was heard. No TV cable available, however I received over 35 OTA TV channels. The local town of Onawa is small with very little to offer but still quant. This park has no pool, no playground, no clubhouse and nothing special to justify the $39 per night. The owners do not do monthlies and weeklies are rare. This park is known for it’s easy on/off and a great place to spend the night while traveling through the area.

We called ahead of time to stay for the night in our 34' RV with a car being pulled on the back. The woman who answered was kind and knowledgeable. She gave us a price with the Good Sam's Membership and stayed late to welcome us in. The RV park is on flat land. Each long pull thru spot has a nice grassy area with a picnic table. They are full hook up. They have a little store in front with RV parts, RVing necessities, drinks and snacks. There is a propane tank for refilling your tank. There is a very clean bathroom with shower house. As well as a laundry facility. There are benches around the park to sit at. It is a nice quiet RV park.

First off it's fun to say I'm staying at On-Ur-Wa in Onawa Iowa. But most importantly, it's a nice park. Lots of mature trees for shade. Friendly gal in the office. I stayed in fhu pull through spot 14. Wi-fi worked wonderfully. Convenient location. Gas, McDonald's, Dairy Queen and such pretty much everything in walking distance. Clean bathrooms, hot showers and laundry. They also sell propane and the office has RV supplies, camping stuff, neat gifts and such for sale. There is some truck noise at night from the truck stop nextdoor but it didn't bother me for the most part. I would definitely stay here again.

We arrived late in the afternoon. I was in our RV while my wife went inside to pay for our site. The site the owner put us in would not allow our satellite internet to work. She would not let us stay in a site with a clear view of the sky. My wife mentioned that she had fascist paraphernalia in the office/store. After hooking up the RV to power I went to the office to see what she was referring to. Upon entering there was a 2’ x 3’ flag with an offensive statement. She also had numerous politically fascist posters/information. I then turned around when the owner walked in and asked if she could help me. I said “No, I was just noticing your fascist propaganda which as a military veteran I find repulsive”. She asked if I wanted a refund, and I said definitely YES!. This chain-smoking witch made comments that all of Iowa thinks the same as she does. This is absolutely a boldfaced lie. She also made comments about the state we were from. If you want to support a fascist business, then this one is for you. Also, is you have satellite internet, good luck. We ended up in Nebraska after an 11 hour driving day in a...

Well if I had to say I met people who defined what an American is Veoletta and John are it! We had been having truck issues on the Hwy and wheeled into this rv park, with out hesitation they found a spot for us and offered any and all help they could, directed us to a mechanic because I had no tools or what I needed to repair my truck, we had been tired and run down from travelling and found a home away from home! I am a recluse and ended up spending the entire night with them, talking and enjoying each other’s company! I am writing this post to tell you that America is great and it’s people like this who make it that way! My wife kids and I have made life long friends with John and Veoletta and look forward to breaking down in Iowa again or maybe Arizona! God bless both of you and thank you again from the bottom of our hearts for your kindness and friendship. On our way back we had truck problems again and found a spot again with John and Veoletta and felt the same love as the first time! Remember when people talk poorly of America it’s not there fault, they haven’t come across...
