I rarely give 5 stars. However my stay here was exceptional. I am a week late in giving this review. I had a room with a king size bed which was extremely comfortable. The pillows soft.. I found the hotel well maintained, clean, quiet and owners cordial & helpful. It is an older hotel yet in excellent condition for its age. The room was huge and clean. Bathroom was spotless. Even the bath soap was good. A lot of places it is too smelly is why I mention it. I asked for extra coffee & creamer for my room. Received it very quickly. I was impressed the creamer was CoffeeMate brand & not a cheaper generic one. Just another small touch that meant a lot. The breakfast was continental style as with most hotels. It was well stocked. The pastries fresh as well as the bagels. I highly recommend this place. My overnight stay was restful & refreshing. Would I stay here again? Without a doubt. Thank you to the amazing owners! 💜💜💜 Note: edited to add descriptions

Cons: The shower was nearly nonfunctional and falling apart. Drain was stopped up so water would pool up. Barely any shampoo or body wash in the wall canisters that were falling off. The whole building smells like smoke. Coffee didn't work properly in the morning. Car alarm (not the panic button, but the some one is breaking into the car) alarm went off multiple times during the night. The train and semi trucks outside the building are also very loud. Another guy I'm with (who got his own room) had the air conditioner not working, so he slept in his car. The lady who checked in right after I did said the toilet did not work all night, so the manager offered her a plunger that she could use even though the toilet never worked to begin with. Pros: The Casey's is within walking distance. And the family diner close by has great breakfast. Though just stay anywhere else. Update: My friend's and my room are going to be refunded.

We had a pet room because we were traveling with our dog. The whole room smelled like cat pee! We reserved a double queen deluxe room. The beds were not queen beds maybe double beds which qould not a accomadate our family of 5. We had to ask for a roll away bed which when opened sprung open quite violently. There is no way anyone could sleep on it since it wouldnt stand up on its own. Also there was a huge blood stain on it. The carpet felt sticky if walked on barefoot. Staff were friendly and tried to be accommodating the best they could. We were given another room on top of room we had, but weren't able to have the dog in that room. They do have a pool, but it is a shared pool that is in the Quality Inn hotel next door.

Me and my wife showed up here. There was alot off toliets in front when we pulled up. Seen two men moving toliets. We went in to check in and as we went to are room I had sink troubles and toliet problems. I call down to main desk the person as the desk was extremely rude. I come out of the room waiting for desk person to come up. The shorter guy was going trough hall with new toliets and looked like he was working extremely hard. He had sweat coming down him pretty good. I managed to catch him going by and asked him he had a moment. He said sure. I told him I couldn't get anyone to come to my room and fix the toliet and sink.and I hate to bother him but if he could help me. He said let me get someone for u. He stopped put the new toliets down. And went down stairs. As he comes up the lady at the desk was yelling at him saying they can wait. I felt so bad for this guy. He kept saying sorry I was just asked to get someone. She continues to yell at him. The lady was so rude to him. It made me very mad. The lady comes up to me and says can't you wait till my brake is over?! The young man went back about his business. I told lady we just needed this fixed and we was tired. The lady goes in one of the rooms the shorter man was in and starts yelling at him telling him to stop this room and do this room now. The guy gets up and carry's his tools into the room and tells the lady the toliet needs replaced. She continues to yell at the man said replace it immediately, at this point my wife felt so bad for this young man she went to get him something to drink, as the young man pulls the toliet and puts it in. She continues to tell him to hurry up in a very rude voice. Finally I told the lady leave the young man alone. He's working fast and he's super nice. She told me to mind my own business, The young man gets toliet done. She yells at him to fix the sink. My wife was getting very upset. The young man said I'm suppose to put new toliets in. I don't have the tools right with me. She says do it now and slap her hands and says chop chop. My wife told the lady stop it stop it. He's a human being. The lady said he will do what he's told. As the young man comes back with tools, The talked man asked him what he was doing? He said I got to fix this sink. He replied back we suppose to to be doing toliets where's maintenance? The shorter guy shrugged his shoulders and came in the room and fixed the sink. He was fast at fixing it. He got up and said I hope u guys have a better day. My wife shook his hand and told him you about the most reserved person I've seen here. This man was rolling in sweat. My wife asked him if he would like a drink and he said ty but I'm ok. Somehow I believe he was just being polite, The lady from the front told him get back to your job and do your work. My wife looked at lady said I wouldn't even stay here if wasn't for the hard work that man did. The lady walked away said whatever. My wife said leave door open. She's sitting there on talking to me about how this man is overworked. We felt so bad for this man. Little bit lady I hear a rude customer come out and god forsaken tells this man to get his door open now it's not working. I looked out the door and this man was getting yelled at for a door entering problem. He goes and gets the lady who was yelling at him. And made me so sick to my stomach lady yells at him again. He said I'm just doing what you asked me to do sorry. Several times me and my wife asked this man if he like something to drink? He said thanks but I need to get all these new toliets in.We felt so dam bad for this man. Clearly this man was doing things he wasn't there for. He was extremely polite to us. Wasnt for this man being chewed out we would have left. I will say this if u see the two guys working there putting toliets in they have to be the nicest people in the building. Every other employees we had to deal with was a nightmare. My wife and I say stop take a moment and thank those two men. They deserve it! Besides that hotel...

We stayed there and it was the most upsetting stay I have ever experienced. I checked in with my 3 y/o granddaughter late on a Thursday evening. We were traveling (in different cars) with two of my teenage granddaughters and one of them’s boyfriend. They came in too, but left to go and stay with her family later that night leaving myself and 3 y/o granddaughter. The next morning, they returned along with her two brothers and a couple friends to bring us breakfast. They decided they wanted to go swimming. They had to go next door to swim because the owner “pays” to allow his guests to use it. The owner of that motel saw them and a couple more friends came, but were not going to swim, and called the owner of the Super 8 and asked how many people were registered in our room as he asked my grandkids what room they were in. He told him 2 and then the owner of our motel proceeded to go over there and tell my grandkids that I had “ snuck in” too many people and if I wanted to stay I was going to have to pay him $10/d (we had reserved 4 nights) per person per night which added up to $120. They came and told me and I went down to talk to him. He was angry and informed me of the charge and would not listen to me about they were just visiting and we had swam in that pool many other times when we or family had stayed there before. He yelled at me , accused me of “ sneaking people in, and was very VERY hostile toward me and said I could either pay him the money or I had 30 minutes to leave , non-refundable and he had already locked me out of my room. I told him I would pay as I didn’t want to lose all that money for the other 3 nights, but by that time was so upset that I decided to go ahead and leave. I ended up coming back and paying the extra money later that day as, again I didn’t want to lose the money I had spent for the next 3 nights. The two nights following that, I had my three preschool grandchildren stay with me and the last night it was me and my 17 y/o granddaughter and the 3 y/o. We never swam again, ate his breakfasts, or used anything in his motel other than the room. We didn’t even use his cleaning services. (did use a few towels and washcloths). It was the most awful experience I have ever experienced traveling in my 61 years. I will NEVER utilize his services EVER again!!! No one else came back to the motel to...

This is by far and away the absolute worst hotel I have ever stayed in. I came in at 4am this morning (Tuesday) and checked in. I told the lady at the desk that we would be staying until Wednesday morning. She said she would only charge me for one night and give me an early check in. My family and I left for a bit and came back and were locked out of our room. When we asked for a key, the man said we had to leave or pay for another night. I explained to him what had transpired earlier with the other clerk. He didn't care. I asked him to call a manager and he said he would. He came back and said nobody answered and so he couldn't let us into our room. I started getting angry and asked him why it was my fault that they could not properly train their employees. He got mad and started raising his voice, told me to set down and wait he would call another manager. Finally he comes back out and says she told him to give us room keys and she would talk to the other employee and get her side of the story. I asked if that meant I could stay or if I was being kicked out or if they were going to try to charge my card without my knowledge. He really got mad and started yelling at me to leave his lobby. My wife asked for the managers name and he refused to give it to us. When we got a card from the desk he said that manager was on vacation. We asked for the other managers card and he refused to give us one. Then we asked if we needed to call the police to get things straightened out and he screams, "You know what! I am going to lock you out of your room because you refuse to leave my lobby!" We told him we just wanted confirmation on what was happening in a timely manner. He starts berating us about how the manager will either write up or fire the other employee and all we cared about was our dollar. He then said "The manager just told me to give you your room keys and not to charge your card so that is what I am doing but I will call the police if you don't leave my lobby right now!" I told him that was all he had to say from the beginning. Such horrible customer service. Don't spend...
