I would never recommend this place! Personally, it felt like a funeral parlor and definitely not worth the $88 a night we paid!! Driving up, the hotel isn’t landscaped at all. It looked abandoned until we drove around the building (to access the front door) and there were a few cars finally. The lobby was “recently renovated” - yet the decor was dark green, from the late 60-70s. Checking in was interesting. There was a sign on the door AND the counter that advised to call a number for assistance. We called but it just rang - no answer. Luckily I looked around and saw a little doorbell that had a sign to “press for help”. As soon as we pressed it, a man popped out from the back. Apparently he lives on-site? Although he said the number calls his personal phone, I don’t know why he never answered. He had a lot of issues getting his computer to locate our reservation and process our pre-payment. After a reboot, he finally got it to process. Then he had issues getting the room key to work. (Luckily he gave 2 because 1 never worked!) We were told our room was on the other side of the building, and to drive around to park nearby. (That was the abandoned side we initially drove by.) After pulling up, there were 2 guys sitting on a curb just staring down us ladies. There was another guy on our other side, walking around in circles just smoking. The exterior door had a key lock on it but my key wouldn’t work. Turned out it wasn’t really “locked”. Unsafe! When we got inside, it was apparent there’s 1 long hallway and rooms on both sides. Meaning we didn’t have to park on the abandoned side of the building to get in, as the other side (with cars) had a door too. The room was very outdated and the bathroom had some stains. I didn’t realize the fridge and microwave weren’t plugged in, so our food spoiled overnight. Also, there’s a nearby train that runs by OFTEN so if you are a light sleeper, you’ll hate it. We left and did our activity for the day. Upon returning later, there was a large gathering in the “abandoned” side parking lot with drinking, loud music, and a poor child just watching their tablet while the adults loitered. We opted to park on the main entrance side, where there were other cars, but that exterior door lock isn’t broken and our key had a tough time registering to get it opened. We ended up walking around the building to the party side to get in (that door lock is broken). Although it is a “smoke-free” hotel, there was a strong weed smell the next morning while we were leaving. We quickly turned in our keys and left. I would not recommend this place to anyone. We felt very unsafe and almost stayed somewhere else. It was VERY overpriced as well - so don’t book through Airbnb!

Admittedly it is not a 5 star hotel, but it's worth 5 stars for the price that we paid. I hope they stay on the Expedia app. We found our room to be very clean and it seems to be recently remodeled. The only trouble we had: When we got there, we pulled into the first driveway of the motel and entered the door on the west side of the building. I walked up-and-down the hallway and eventually started trying unlocked doors. I could not find the lobby. Finally, I went out on the east side of the building and there was the lobby. They could use some better signs to point you in the right direction. I did miss the buzzer in the lobby and had to knock on the manager's door. But once I started talking to him, he was very nice and very helpful in getting me checked in. We did not receive the king size bed that we signed for on Expedia. He said that was expedia's fault. We will stay here again if we ever have to return that to my hometown. I also recommend Nanna's...

It was a total nightmare! As soon as we pulled up we were horrified. The outside of the building was completely trashed. Everything was dirty and falling apart and there were people surrounding the building drinking and smoking that looked homeless and not so safe. When we went into the office the girl at the front desk said she couldn’t check us in and had us call a phone number. We sat on hold for 5 minutes waiting to be checked in and then got disconnected. So the girl at the front desk called the owner on speaker phone. The owner immediately had a bad attitude and was rude (didn’t realize we were able to hear her). She tried to charge us more than we were quoted and when I told her that she started screaming at me. I told her that I didn’t feel safe staying there and she refused to give us a refund. She said she could care less if we left but no refunds. I want to warn you all, the owner is crazy and it is not a safe...
