Deluxe Inn — Hotel in Palacios

This place is a dump! The rooms smell horrible due to the mold and mildew on the walls and floor. We rented room 137 which was suppose to be the top of the line room for this establishment at the rate of $113 a night. We basically were only going to use it for the shower and restroom and never planned on sleeping in the room because we would be out night fishing all night. We ended up being locked out of the room until 4:45 am because the battery/electrical issues with the keycard reader that opens the room door would not work and management did not wake up until 4:45 (after we continuously tried throughout the whole night) at that time we were moved to room 136( this room was worse than the other but we had no choice but to agree to the room switch since we needed to use the bathroom and shower and basically checkout).Management would not comp us in any way whatsoever even though we only had the room for 2 hours and only actually entered both rooms a total of 30 minutes she claimed it’s not their her fault the reader broke. I asked for the owners information so that I could personally contact him and she refused to give me any information whatsoever. I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL!!!! PLEASE STAY FAR AWAY...

I will be posting pictures on Google. Smells of mold, the carpet feels nasty under your shoes.  The stove drip pans are rusted, the mini fridge the out side of the door is rusted, the shower handle came off and the shower and the sink outside of the restroom is the only upgrade I see. If it's supposed to be an upgrade how does the shower handle fall off. You can tell the room has mold from looking at the bottom of the cabinets. I had to purchase a candle to hide the mold smell. The upgraded side is on the other side which they are not renting out I Guess and to pay $339.00 for 7 days and if Im not working Saturday or Sunday and go home I lose out of money. Because it cost more to pay out of pocket daily. And when I use my Amazon Firestick the WIFI boots you off and you continuous have to enter the user name and password. I need a discount and the other room they offered was a little better, but it smells of piss. And although it rained last night the...

I'm not sure if to trash the place or commend it. I do hope the manager reads this! One can see there is work happening to improve it. First suggestion is see some American comments before it is transformed into a style not of the location.|Start at the lobby! Tidy it up and change the smell, remove the stolen Holiday Inn trash can. |On the property add some outdoor trash cans and a smoking area. The rest looks good and clean. |In the rooms small inexpensive touches will go a long way. There's no excuse for a moldy shower curtain, broken shower head and broken light in a deluxe room. |Overall for the price it is way too expensive but you can see improvement and that is good. I would not come back but as a last option it is not bad. Rating is based on the value for your $$$$....
