If you're just looking for a cheap place to spend the night, Pinedale Hotel is fine. If you're looking for anything else, keep looking. We booked specifically for a vacation because their website advertised a hot tub and "complimentary full breakfast served daily". When we checked in, we noticed a sign on the door to the pool/hot tub area stating the door was out of order, so we asked if we could enter through another door. The person at the desk told us no and that the heating element was broken, which seemed odd given all the steam pouring off of it. Later that evening, we saw the side door open and an entire family sitting in the hot tub. On Sunday morning, there was no breakfast (or sign of anyone working) at 7:30 am. Or 8:30 am. Or 9:30 am. We finally bought our own food. When we got back from skiing that afternoon, someone was at the desk, so I asked about the hot tub, given that people were using it the night before. The employee said he wasn't allowed to let us in because the only staff person who was certified to run the hot tub was out of town. Then I asked about the breakfast and was told "oh we don't open the restaurant on Sundays". At that point I asked for a reduction on our bill because we were not being provided the amenities that were advertised. The staff member was also not able to do that, but said his manager would call me the next day (surprise, she did not). Other small issues with the room that we would have overlooked had the service been better: dirty socks on the floor when we checked in stain on the comforter the turn table in the microwave wasn't the right size so it didn't sit flat and bumped around only two towels provided and no opportunity to receive additional ones from housekeeping (never saw housekeeping) smoke detector was missing its cover and dangling from the ceiling by the wires one of the lamps in the room had burnt out bulbs I think they are just desperately understaffed and I understand that is a challenge in rural areas, but if you're not able to provide the amenities that you advertise (and that customers are paying for) you need to take proactive steps to...
Read moreWhen we booked three nights at the Pinedale hotel, we were totally unaware the cancellation policy was so different from usual hotels. We thought the location was much closer to Jackson, the Grand Tetons, and Yellowstone, than what it was. This was totally our fault for not checking more thoroughly. After arriving, while checking in, and realizing the location issue, we said that we felt we were not going to stay all three nights. We were told that we possibly would not get any of the second night back, but the third night would be a full refund. We went to the room to check if we could find accommodations much closer to the attractions we were visiting. When coming back to the desk attendant to tell them that we were canceling the next two nights we were then told that we would not get the second night back and very possibly only half of the third night. I then pulled up my confirmation on my phone and it stated that we needed to cancel the nights before we checked in for any of the three nights. I just would like everyone to be aware first off if you’re staying to go to the attractions we wanted to visit, be aware of the distance. Over 2 1/2 hours to get to Yellowstone and an hour and a half for Jackson. The usual cancellation policy in hotels is by 6 o’clock the night before you stay which is not the case here, so please be aware. We booked the 29th through the 31st but we had to have our cancellation in by the 28th. Again, I should’ve read the cancellation policy, (and the desk attendant was inconsistent) but when the cancellation policy is that unusual, it would’ve been nice at the time of booking for the agent to let us know. We had booked another night up in West Yellowstone, and we were told right away when we booked it that it was nonrefundable. I appreciate West Yellowstone being upfront with their policies. I was also supposed to receive a call or text the next day after they determined how much of the third night I would get back, but that also did not happen. Disappointed in how they did not follow through with me. So again, just be aware of their different...
Read moreSpotless room. Beautiful fluffy carpet. Unstained sheets. You can't go wrong with the Baymont in Pinedale.||From the moment I walked in to the expansive western-themed lobby, I was greeted by friendly and welcoming staff who went above and beyond to ensure that everything about my stay was nothing short of extraordinary.||The room itself put even the best rooms at the Hampton to shame. The capacious bed was my nightly hug, a warm place to dream. A safe harbor from which my mind drifted into the land of dreams, communicating in the language of the stars. The immaculate carpet brought to me memories of the gently drifting emerald fields of Ireland.||As I began to wonder if the experience could possibly get better, I wandered down to the Baymont's world class pool. The sapphire waters of the heated pool provided a welcome relief from the bitter cold of the outside. As the used Band-Aids floated lazily throughout the water as so many steam ships of old in the northern seas, the pool spoke of the wide open skies I have come to love in Wyoming, visible from my third-floor window.||The following morning as I tearfully bid goodbye to my reasonably priced, yet exceptionally well stocked room, I made my way to the complimentary breakfast available downstairs in the dining area.||Lovingly crafted from the best ingredients by the most skilled artisan chefs, the sight and aroma of the food was a gentle massage to my soul. As I loaded up my plate, the vivid colors of the food spoke to its freshness and the bold flavors to come. I was not disappointed. Breakfast was fresh golden waffles, as warm as they would be in the summer's morning sun, maple syrup threaded upon the top. Paired with this was a side of eggs fried in a brushing of olive oil, lightly salted... Perfect.||The cereal whispered stories of the golden fields, of the nature that played about its stems as it rose ever higher and ultimately into my bowl.||Though I checked out at 9:30am to leave my much beloved new home, our bond remains, travelling different pathways yet eternally connected...||Great hotel. 10/10. Will...
