Cinnamon Shore South — Hotel in Port Aransas

I love Cinnamon Shores. Yes, it is expensive, but the property is really nice. You can hit the beach in the morning and then enjoy the pools. They have a pond to drop a fishing line or try your luck at the ocean. The beach is hard enough to get to for those not staying at Cinnamon Shores that it does not get overwhelming with people. They have beach chairs, umbrellas, and golf carts for rent. Again, they are not cheap, but you have to decide if convience is worth the less that you have to pack. The location itself is close to a lot of other stuff you can do as well if you want to take a quick trip. You can save a lot by not eating out and packing your kitchen, so do the math. I love that they have a variety of shapes of homes in one spot so you can really fit any size or type of group. We stay at North a couple times each year — this was our first time staying at South.

The homes and vibe are exactly what you get on the North side. They are still building out more homes and shops so there's a bit of construction and lack of provisions on the South side. We found ourselves driving (5-10 mins with go cart, 2 mins with car) to the North side for food, drinks & activities.

One of the pools on the South side was open and pretty full each day. The small bar serves up what you'll get on the North side (ask for the Double Turbo ✌️).

The staff is always great, fun & professional. This is our favorite place on the Texas coast (we're from Austin).

We did not stay here… we felt it was a bit limited for our older kids. It’s a Beautiful site and little village, but nothing right outside. You need to drive 30 min for corpus to get here but if you have older adults and littles, it’s perfect. Golf cart included in many rentals, and you can walk or ride on over to the private beach. We checked prices and availability and may stay here for a family reunion or when we bring the grandparents. It reminds me of being on a set for the Truman Show or something.
