Left me start by saying I rarely if ever leave a google review but this time Im going to. I am a very loyal Marriott customer and I have stayed here several times since it was built a few years ago. Always very clean, well kept with a very nice staff. Unfortunately my last stay here was not so good. When checking in the desk clerk was sitting outside talking on their cell phone so I had to wait for him to check me in. I walked right by him and he never acknowledged me so I thought he was a customer. When I got to the front desk there was no one there and the phone was ringing off the hook. After a few minutes the guy I past walked outside walks in and asked me if I needed to check in. Mind you I was pulling a suit case and standing at the front desk. LOL!!
At check in I ask same clerk if my rewards number was on the stay and he said yes without ever even looking. Come to find out it was not which started this whole issue. He gave me my key with no holder or room number so I asked for one and he told me I did not need one. I said well how do you expect me to know what room I’m staying in. He huffed and gave me a key holder with the room number. Called back several times to try to resolve rewards issue and each time I have been told I needed to speak with the mgr who has been busy each time I have called. After leaving 3-4 messages and no one calling me back I tried one more to today. This time I encountered an extremely rude desk clerk who hung up on me after I told her I would hold for the mgr. She told me she was on the other line so I said I will hold for her. She kept telling me she was busy and to leave a message and they would call me back. I said well she has 3-4 messages and has not called back yet so I will just hold. She hung up on me. LOL!! Tried calling back several times with no answer. Just rings and rings. Personally I will never stay here again and do not recommend anyone else staying here until the improve there staff and customer service issues. I’m currently trying to reach out to locate the owner. They need to know how their customers are...
Read moreWe’re a military family with nine kids needing to travel. We had two rooms. It was hands down the worst hotel experience we’ve had in a long time and most of our travel lodging happens at bare bones military facilities.
The problem was the air conditioner. The breakfast was not accessible for us because not much food was out and two children were coughing loudly which felt unsafe during covid so we just left and bought breakfast elsewhere but that’s not a big deal compared to the air conditioner problems.
I’m each of the rooms the a/c unit would shut itself every hour or so. The room would heat up very quickly once it was off so every hour in each room all night long we would wake up all sweaty and have to get the air conditioner running again. It was so hot and stuffy in the room that our youngest daughter, who has down syndrome, wound up with a heat rash that made her miserable in her car seat for an entire day of driving.
We have a Marriott membership and normally look for them so we can accumulate free nights but after this experience if we do stay at another Marriott owned property, which we’re already scheduled to and are now thinking of changing, we will have to add the extra step of calling ahead to ask if the air conditioners have timers that cause them to shut off while you’re sleeping.
We did call down to the front desk during the night to ask if the a/c unit was set to do this and if there was a work around but there wasn’t anything they could do. Upon checkout we brought it up to the lady at the front desk who shrugged and said that’s how it is. The way she said it gave me the feeling that this is a frequent complaint.
I know electricity is expensive and we all want to save the environment but depriving paying guests of the use of the air conditioner in the middle of summer is not the way to go...
