Sorry to make this so long, but this is what I am sent to the rental agency.
We stayed from 6/30/25 - 7/4/25 We were at Island Club Rental #95, this was a great place, just had a lot of problems!
The back sliding door was unlocked and easy to opened when we first got there. And the front sliding patio doors either one where able to be locked just had a piece of wood that could block the door from sliding open. Only one of the doors had it blocked.
The first thing the younger people in our group noticed right away was one of the scent plug-ins on the wall was making a high pitched sound that was piercing to their ears. We had to unplug it. Not a huge thing though.
We do understand that there are a lot of bugs and did see many of them especially on the ceiling in the dining room area for some reason. That is more of an observation than anything.
It does seem that some of the house has been updated and looks pretty nice, but in the master bathroom, the large tub was awful! It was rusted and need repairs or replacing! Also the sink or shower in that room wasn’t looking good either.
The secondary bathroom looked really nice and looked updated recently.
The bedrooms were nice but cramped, we understood as a rental it’s more about having the ability to get more people in. The one bedroom though had a television that didn’t have the power cords to connect to it. That seemed a bit odd. We in the Master Bedroom weren’t using ours, so we moved it over.
We do not have small children, but for those that do, they I would assume be concerned with having a child go on the back patio and fall down from there, I would definitely think that a lower rail would be at least helpful to someone from falling off of the deck.
The master bedroom was ice cold while the other two rooms were very hot, we weren’t aware at first because our other family members came later in the week. When we noticed we contacted the unit management and at first someone came out and didn’t understand what needed to be done. We had gone to town and only one adult and a child was left. The maintenance person came really quick while the adult was in the restroom. I had no warning that someone would be coming out that quickly. The maintenance person first thought the problem was with our water to the sink in the bathroom. They finally realized what the problem was when we came back from being in town and explaining the situation better.
They still couldn’t get the problem fixed without a technician coming some other time believing the problem being a blockage in the air vents.
The rental is very nice otherwise, other than noises and bugs and neighbors they have no control of. If these few things were corrected I could see this place being a 4 or a...
Read moreWould recommend this cottage, Island Club Rentals Club, Unit 94, to be used as a fishing shack. Not a well kept or loved by owners. This cottage did not come with all that is listed in the description. After a day of traveling our family was ready to unpack and chill for the evening. Instead, we had to clean to make it suitable for humans to live in it. Mildew was removed from the refrigerator before food and groceries could be put in it, counter and stove tops, microwave, kitchen table and kitchen and living room floors had to be cleaned with rags we brought with us. Bathroom tub was clogged with hair and the floor of the tub looked like it had not be scrubbed for some time. Broom with pan and Swifer were the only cleaning tools available. No detergent for cleaning, no more than a few sheets of paper towels and only the roll of toilet paper on the spool. Towels were found in dryer and dishes left in the dish washer were not cleaned. Silverware sparse for a house for 10. Decks and sliding glass doors filthy and grill did not have gas. No matter how many times we scrubbed the floor, feet were still black so floors have not been cleaned for some time. I could go on. The property owners were contacted but didn’t respond. The managers on the property weren’t able to help by bringing in a cleaning crew. We left it in much better condition then we found it, but this will be the vacation that I remember as staying in the...
Read moreSeven of us stayed at Island Club Rentals this past weekend.
The island Club consist of a series of cabins, and pools, that wrap around a fairly decent area of land. It is in a perfect location that conveniently puts you in close proximity to nearly everything no matter which way you go.
It is a fairly loud place in general. I'd say if any place in put n bay was where the noise, and bachelor pads were, it's here. Almost every cabin on our road had house parties from morning to night, we didn't quite care, as frankly we expected it and were out late in town, but, it's important for families who are considering staying here to know that it's essentially a massive collection of Bachelorette and Bachelor parties from sun up, to sun down.
The House itself was alright. It was somewhat upkept, and while it was comfortable enough and we'd had no major complaints, I've also stayed in a lot nicer places in and outdoor for much less. We all personally agreed it was wildly over priced for what was offered. We'd seen almost no on property staff our entire stay.
I personally would stay again as I am okay with loud parties on an island known for its relaxation and drinking. The location is more than I could want, and center enough to everything it's largely worth it for that alone, and while I thought it was over priced, it isn't much different than other island options. Still, it seems almost to rowdy to recommend...
