Poolview Condo #5 First, the staff was attentive to concerns but were unable to resolve the multiple issues. They were kind and responsive offering to fix stuff but, concerns should have been addressed prior to our arrival. The property outside seemed relatively well maintained. The property inside was a disaster. As we entered, the front door did not close properly. The carpeting up the stairs was disgustingly filthy and stained (I have pictures). The āFire Alarmā pull was āpulledā at the bottom of the steps. Maintenance stated that the fire system was still operational regardless of the fact the pull was down (got pictures). In the condo, every room had multiple problems. Kitchen: disposal was inoperable. Maintenance stated it was rusted so much it wouldnāt work. Multiple cabinets were missing screws for the handles. Dirty dishes were in the cabinets. Several dishes were cracked in a manner such that we wouldnāt use them. When I opened the window to get air, a swarm of dead bugs blew in and I had to clean the floor and window jam. This posed another problem as neither of the two vacuums worked. The firstās canister was so overfilled it wouldnāt suck anything. The second worked but had no suction. This explained why the floors were dirty and sticky. Maintenance emptied the canister vacuum upon request. The window was filthy. On a good note, the pots were relatively new and worked well. Living room: the screen door to the deck was not operational. The bottom was not on the track at all. I had to drag it to open and close it. Window was filthy. Storage closet: light bulb was out (I replaced it) Bedrooms: There were light switches in multiple places but they didnāt turn anything on or off, all lights had to be manually turned on and off at the fixture. Not a big deal, just wondering what all the switches were for. There were several gouges in the walls and a huge hole in the bathroom door. Maintenance claimed it was from the weekend customers and that they hadnāt had time to repair it⦠The mattress covers were dirty as well as the bed comforters. We had to wash all of these when we arrived so we could use them that evening. I have serious doubts whether any of this was recent. Bathrooms: seemed relatively clean. The shower curtains were the wrong size and again were filthy with some sort of scum or dirt on the bottoms. The toilet rocked a bit as well. Grill: was dirty, I had to clean it before using it. The outside looked well maintained but the inside hadnāt been cleaned well in some time. I brought many of these issues up with Management and Maintenance who offered to fix them but I didnāt want someone in there fixing stuff while I was on vacation for a few days. I would have expected these items would have been fixed before I arrived. Their claim that all this was recent was...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis may come across as a bit harsh, but its an honest review. We recently returned from a 3 night stay in Poolview Condo #3. There were four of us, two couples. Despite the condo rules stating that all dishes must be washed and returned to their rightful places we found that 90% of the dishes we pulled out of the cabinet was was dirty and needed to be pre-washed before we could use them. The appliances were clean and worked great. Unfortunately the beds are worn out spring beds so if you are looking for a firmer more supportive mattress look elsewhere. The bedroom with the queen beds did have a TV but it didn't work. The bedroom with the double beds did not have a TV in the room. Thankfully we are not much for hanging out watching TV but if you were that type you would be disappointed. My husband did mention it to one of the staff the day we checked in. The bathroom off the queen room was very tiny and had some damage in in the shower surround that had "tape" placed over it (don't worry, we filmed the room as soon as we arrived). The main bathroom definitely provided more space and even had a hair dryer despite the company telling me the unit did not have one. This unit does provide plenty of hot water for showers though. You could tell that the unit was not spotless as you could feel the dirt if you were in your bare feet (I recommend sandals for sure). We hadn't pre-reserved a golf cart but decided to see if one was available on Wed. There was one and we paid $60 cash (normally $70) for a 24 hour period at 1130 on Wed. morning. Unfortunately when we went to see about renting it for another day the next morning they had already gave it to someone else (so much for 24 hours, good thing we didn't want to go for breakfast before we turned it in). The kid who had taken it said they were sold out but the guy who rented to us on Wed was kind enough to find another one available for Thursday for us. We must not have had neighbors above us on Tues night but we definitely did on Wed. and Thur as you could hear them walking above you all night long. They weren't' partying or doing anything out of line, rather just walking thru their unit. It just happened to be very noisy for the first floor tenants. Overall it wasn't a bad stay, but it could use some TLC and...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreStayed here for the weekend, July 11-13 and my initial thoughts were: āwow thereās a ton of space and plenty of beds, this place is niceā and then throughout the rest of my time at the cabin, I quickly realized there were not many other selling points to these properties.
For starters, there is no ventilation in the bedrooms and they get incredibly hot and stuffy. Whole house temp was 70 while bedrooms felt like 85. You could also see right through the blinds in bedroom windows.
There were no towels of any kind, just one roll of the cheapest paper towels money could buy.
The bathrooms have a metal prison style toilet paper holder sticking out of the wall that I cut my leg on.
But by far my biggest gripe was the fact that the fridge did not get cold. The temperature dial was taken off of the fridge units so it couldnāt be changed and a condescending note was left in the fridge basically saying āif you think the fridge isnāt working, it is.ā
Any perishable food I brought was ruined overnight, Iām talking the fridge was below room temp. So we were forced to eat out the whole weekend, which can obviously get expensive.
Lastly they left a laminated note on the fridge stating it is unfair to leave reviews of this property as one would any other Airbnb or Verbo listing, stating a 3 star rating is reserved for āseveral major unaddressed problemsā. I do not agree with a company telling the customer how to review their product or service. Overall a decent looking apartment, but I felt like they donāt care about their guests, they care about the money that comes in. This is not a small business Airbnb, they are a large business that wants to pinch as many pennies as they can at the expense...
