A Place at the Bay — Hotel in Put-in-Bay Township

Nice place, but it's pretty far from PiB if that's where you're trying to be. Place was clean, but there wasn't really anything there to use as far as essentials. They gave us some toilet paper and about 3 garbage bags for 12 people staying for 3 days. There were a dozen coffee cups and some plastic cups. No plates. There was some silverware and a drawer with some things for the grill like tongs and a spatula. There were two dust pans, but no broom. Lol. There was a vacuum though, so we just used that to clean up. None of this a huge deal, just making sure people are aware of what they'll need to bring. The sleeping arrangements are a little iffy I'm my opinion. Every room has at least 2 beds in it. That can be good or bad depending on what you're looking for personally. Location was very quiet, so no problem sleeping if you're bringing your family or young kids. Also would've been nice to have a few dish towels and some hand soap in the bathroom. Those are little things most people wouldn't think to bring. But if you're reading this, you've been warned. For the money they charge I really feel like they could take care of their customers a little better. I understand it's not a hotel, but there are some little things that would've nice to have there. There's a little TV with satellite, no wifi at all. The one really bad thing is there is almost no water pressure in the house. Taking a shower provides you with a very light sprinkle of water that's barely noticeable. It's bad. A few good things, there are a washer and drier along with a dishwasher. Nice size living room, kitchen table and bonus room. Two bathrooms with a little jacuzzi tub in the master. There's a nice gas grill with a nice patio and picnic table. Also another smaller patio on the other side of the house. Although both sliding glass doors to access either patio are whooped out to the point that a small child or the elderly could not open them on their own. That's not a joke, they're incredibly difficult to open. I'm not sure they even lock. The front door also looked to have been kicked in at some point. The dead bolt was latched when it happened too. Ouch. Overall it was a decent place and we'd be happy to stay again. Would recommend...

My college friends and I had a great time at the Place at the Bay for a bachelorette party and we felt like we were at home. The whole house was very private and beautiful and cozy and seemed almost brand new even though it obviously wasn't. We wanted the private space to hang out, but still be able to use the pool across the street.
