Note to response: if my review was inaccurate why did the hotel email me with specifics to my review? It's not the wrong home2. This is the only one I stayed in raleigh.
This hotel is subpar and should not even carry the Hilton name.
First off, my biggest concern is safety and cleanliness. Despite the issues below, I decided to give this hotel a second chance because, as they mention in response to many reviews, they're under new management, training, and are making changes. So based on that I arrived Monday the 25th. After eating, I went to use the bathroom in my room and found a used toilet tissue scrap by the entrance of the bathroom. I tried to use it but the bathroom looked dirty so I went to the front desk to them know. I got switched to another room, which was worse. Not in cleanliness but the fact that the room was 79 degrees. It took nearly 2 hours to come down to 70 degrees. But to my dismay, there were flies in the room!!! And to top it off, I saw a roach, and in the morning, I saw another creepy crawler. At that point I had enough and checked out. Called Hilton customer service to let them know of the issue and haven't heard back yet.
Additionally: Someone else mentioned in a review about a murder or a crime at this hotel.
Well it didn't help that during my stay last week, every single truck in the parking lot was broken into. When I brought it up to a front desk associate, he went back to his conversation on the phone and said, "ooo guess what!! Last night 8 trucks got broken into." The person on the other end (on speaker) replied "AGAIN?"
This gave me to understand that safety is not a concern of the hotel. Reason I say this is because if it's happened before, you'd think they'd find a solution such as motion sensor cameras in the parking lot and the receptionist can call 911 if need be.
Another issue I ran into was no one would remain at the receptionist desk. They disappear often and leave a note to call or dial 0. There's no phone there to dial from.

Read morePLEASE READ ENTIRE REIVEW!!!!! The entire property staff should be investigated for theft of customers' property by breaking and entering vehicles. We stayed at the Home2 Suites by Hilton Raleigh State Arena 11/10-11/12. At 12:42 am our car was broken into while parked on the property. According to Raleigh PD, there were 5 others broken into around the same time. We notified the Assistant Manager immediately. He seemed more concerned about what time we would be checking out than he did about the incident that occurred. His response was "so what time will you be checking out. Our Staff has several rooms to clean." In speaking with the Manager (Susanne Papa) she tried to tell me that there were no cameras that pointed near where our vehicle was parked. I had to escort her outside and show her that there was indeed a camera that should show what happened. After confirming by looking at live footage, she proceeded to tell me that she did not have access to look back at the time the vehicle was broken into. She said that the owners were the only ones with that permission. Susanne would not provide me with their information. I later learned from Raleigh PD that there have been several occurrences of this nature over the past few months that have occurred where cameras do not cover. I am fully convinced that some of the employees that work at this location are involved in the vehicle break-ins. DO NOT STAY AT THIS LOCATION!!!!!!! We also had to use hand towels for wash cloths upon checking in. There was no soap in the shower for bathing. It was a struggle to get these items provided. When complaining about the theft and damage to the vehicle, there was no offer to help accommodate by crediting for our stay or even a sign of remorse. I will be following up with HILTON CORP and Raleigh PD to try and get an investigation started on...
Read moreI travel pretty regularly for business and I've stayed at this location before, no problems. Always fine. But recently, I am in a disaster zone for Hurricane Helene, and I had to cancel my stay.
I booked through Expedia, and was directed by them that I had to call the hotel. No problem.
I call and speak with Joshua, and he says "because you're calling so early" it's no problem and we will be able to cancel your reservation with a full refund, predicated on that fact that we are currently dealing with the aftermath of Helene. Great. I told Joshua I would call back, after I spoke with Expedia, my company and the other vendors I needed to cancel with. He said "No problem".
So per Expedia's Policy, I call Delta, American Airlines, Sixt Car Rentals and Embassy Suites to cancel and all are totally understanding and either issue account credit, or a full refund. I saved calling because this location last because Joshua told me it would be no problem.
I call back and now Joshua says, "well... I can cancel but it doesn't say anything about a refund.." After going back and forth, and Joshua telling me not to believe my lying ears about what he said earlier, he left me with I could call Hilton Honors to escalate or call Expedia.
Great.
I call Expedia, and they spend an hour on the phone with Hilton Honors trying to get them to atleast give a credit or refund given the circumstances and what their employee said.
No refund, no credit. They told me to pound sand basically. I guess it takes something like this to find out who you are dealing with. Delta, American Airlines, Embassy Suites and Sixt Car rental were all reasonable.
I guess the $178 for the one night stay (that they could have given credit and I would have gladly rebooked) was worth losing a customer that travels to the Raleigh area quarterly for work and the...
