Well, lets start why I was in town because that is important. I was in town to lay to rest my father who had passed away. Now to start.. When I arrived it took the staff at the front desk at least 40 minutes to get me checked in with 25 minutes just figuring out what room to place me in. I was in a hurry to get to get up to my mom's so I never actually checked out the room completely until the next morning and then I realized I should have never stayed there and never will again but it is important that people know how bad a experience can be at one of these so-called advertised places. Looks are not what they appear as. In the morning I went to take a shower and all I found was one small bar of soap in a wrapper, that's it! No shampoo no kleenex or anything else. Next the floor tiles were coming up in front on the tub, I mean really coming up, then I began to investigate further and the walls have not been cleaned in months (dust bunnies ) stuck to the walls. The overhead fun in bathroom is rusty all over. I also noticed when I came into the room there were no bed spread just the exposed bed and frame. No phone book, no information on how to call front desk, no information about places to dine etc. not even a bible absolutely nothing. Then I noticed two broken wall outlet covers, sticky floor in front of kitchen hotplate, the walls sticky, the underside of overhead microwave sticky with grease deposits all over the underside of microwave (Fire hazard), No exhaust fan over stove, one of stove burners wobbly and cannot support a average cooking pan, the underside of burners rusty to the core, Tile coming up in front of the fridge, the entry door has been damaged at top right, for some reason there was a fuse box in my room (205), the walls need to be cleaned from all the sticky grease and then painted, there were fly's in room, window latches are loose to the point of concern, fire alarm has paint on it, the A/C unit runs all the time, exposed electrical wiring underneath (danger to children), form insulation falling out under unit, carpet not vacuumed, the fridge door is placed on wrong side, whereas if someone comes in door and person is the fridge they both collide with each other. The front desk clerk could not make decisions, I presented my paperwork from making reservations that showed the price I reserved and this young man fought me over 35 cent difference but I also learned that this place has a habit of changing prices on people once they are checked in. I also called the hotel before I left Virginia to have my room changed to non-smoking from smoking and Shanikia (spelling may be incorrect) told me it was changed but when I got there it never was. The front desk are looks horrid a uneven piece of cut plexa glass and no ventilation, very small area and hard to maintain 6 feet social distancing. I have traveled for over two decades and by far this is my #1 WORST stay ever, no person should be put into a room such as this, it is dehumanizing and a disgrace to anyone working at this place. Whosoever reads this, I plead with you go and spend 20 more dollars for your peace of mind and safety. This place will be reported to the BBB. The owners should be ashamed of themselves for running a slumlord hotel, my advice to you go manage a homeless shelter because you suck at anything that deals with...

I will never stay at this hotel again. I reserved a room for the weekend to attend a wedding and my normal choice of hotels were sold out. Suites is an overstatement. Upon checking in there were people hanging out in the parking lot who were not guests. I had no idea this was a hotel for long term guests as well. When I got to my room both beds were stripped with no linen and un made. There were no towels nor washcloths in the bathroom. When I asked for linen I was told I had to wait until some finished washing and drying. What hotel runs out of clean linen? We did not receive clean linen until third shift in which we had to pick up from front desk and make our own beds before sleeping in them. No comforters just thin tan blankets. When I complained I was told by staff that manager allowed housekeeper to leave before finishing cleaning rooms. The room had an odor. Unfortunately the staff who actually work hard and do their jobs were not available until I checked out Sunday. These ladies were very helpful and understanding of my complaints. The front desk attendant contacted manager who initially refunded me one night stay and told me if I wanted to speak with her call back during her normal business hours. After speaking with her two days later she refunded the other night which took almost a week to go back into my account. Although my stay ended up being free after all I still will encourage everyone to pay the extra few dollars to go somewhere else. This hotel is full of unpleasant and unprofessional staff (with the exception of the few who are overworked and under paid) who would rather pass customer issues off to other staff instead of handling them and taking initiative. Hell no don’t ever stay here unless u are just that desperate for a room. There are way too many great hotels in the area that are economical with good service and friendly staff than to waste your good money on this flea bag roach motel. I even witnessed a guest making partial payment for a room and promising to bring the rest later.... u can’t make this stuff up. I was so fooled by the title of the hotel and outside appearance. I will never ever ever ever...

Wouldn't send my mother in law here. My company booked me a room here on 9/28/2023 I work nights. After the room was booked I called the hotel local number and got no answer numerous times (was after normal business hours). Was calling to check in before 3am when most hotel systems run automatically and anyone not checked in yet loses their reservation. Got no answer on the local number at all, called the nationwide extension and was told I'd be good as long as I was there in person before 3am.i left work warlt to get here before 3am (left at 2am) 10 minute drive or so. Arrived to a locked lobby with a hall phone, called the after hours extension provided and was told someone would be down in 10 minutes or so. Waited more than 10 minutes and called the same extension and told them I was still waiting. Was one again placed on hold for a few moments and was told once again that someone should be down shortly to help me. Waited another 10 minutes or so to no one coming to help me. Once again called the after hours extension and said that I was still waiting. They called the local manager the time and then I was told that there were no rooms available now, that they had all been booked before my arrival, the exact reason I called hours before to check in and was told I was good as long as I made it there before 3am. In my previous experience working nights hotels are not nights friendly at all. Wish it was different but alas, here we are. Now it's 245 am and I'm almost 5 hours away from home with no where to go. So I call my company again and we call "Holiday Inn Express & Suites Raleigh North - Wake Forest, an IHG Hotel" and tell the lovely lady (Nadia) about the situation and she says no problem books the room for us and checks me in on the phone so there isn't any issues and says all I need to do is provide ID upon arrival and all is good. And all was good upon arrival, showed ID and got room key. THANK YOU @Holiday Inn express and (Nadia) for saving me from sleeping in my car! Save yourselves the time and headache and don't try to...

Unfortunately, this was one of the worst stays in a hotel/motel that I have ever experienced. As soon as I walked into my room, it reeked of smoke. I immediately asked if I was put in a smoking room and was told that I was in a non-smoking room. I asked if I could be changed. I was told there were no available rooms. I asked if I could get an ionizer for my room to help clean it out and I was told there were none. I tried to open the window to help air it out, but the window would only open about 2 inches. The air conditioner worked mediocrely to try to cool the room. It did nothing to help clear the air. When I checked in, my room did not have a shower curtain, nor did it have hangers. The electric stove had the coil/elements disconnected. Someone from Housekeeping came to fix these 3 items. For an extended stay hotel, I was shocked there were no utensils, no coffee maker, no dishes, and no ironing board and iron. The room did not have a hair dryer either. A small surprise was no shampoo, conditioner, etc. The 2 chairs provided were absolutely disgusting! I did not sit on them directly, I used a spare towel to cover the gross stained cushions. The beds had no box spring, just a mattress which was on top of a coiled frame. Th sink in the bathroom was next to impossible to turn off completely and when the toilet flushed it made a horrible “squeaking” sound that I never heard a toilet make! The elevator had a “wet floor” sign in it for 2 days. I understand this was an economically priced hotel, but for the value received, I overpaid by a lot! (Your standard reply of "feedback like this that we learn from and use to improve" seems insincere when you use it over and over again.)

We were greeted at the front counter by a list of rules that we had to follow, that among them being to not disturb other guests with loud noises. However, they refuse to enforce these rules and let's a party of people keep everyone on the floor up after ignoring our complaints. That being said, the rooms were just absolutely ghastly. Once I walked into mine, a singular cliche roach scattered across the wall, really setting the tone for the next few nights. The outlets were broken and pushed in, the drawers came apart on me when I so much as touched it, the bed was caved in, the tiles were cracked and there was paint everywhere from where they recently painted and didn't put down any protective plastic. Worst of all, the inside doorknob for the bathroom was missing, and I ended up locked in there for around 10 minutes. My coworker in the room next to us had around the same amount of issues, but with the addition of an overflowing toilet that they refused to fix. Then refused to switch our rooms because "this was the first time they've heard of these issues." Then try to force a charge for contacting them over any of these issues after a "reasonable time" I mean, I know hotels aren't supposed to have resort level rooms but it's like they simply do not care about making it look presentable. But if you're short on cash and have the overwhelming desire to have the possibility of waking up next to a complete stranger; then this is the right hotel for you.

OK: Positives first. WoodSpring Suites is a place that inexpensive and gives discounts for extended stay. The room includes a refrigerator, microwave, and a 2 burner hot plate. The staff Quite possibly the worst cared for property I have visited. This is definitely a no frills place! No soap, shampoo, blow dryer and not even a plug for the bath tub. Luckily I brought all that I needed for a 2 night stay. Liked · The location was good. It was close to most things that we wanted to visit. We didn't stay downtown, but the area was between Raleigh and Durha. The staff was very friendly and so were the guests that we encountered. There is a Sheetz right out front to fill up our gas tanks or grab snacks. Disliked · The 1st thing I noticed in the room was the smell. It was non smoking but smelled like an ash tray. We had to buy air freshener specifically for smoke odor elimination. There was a pink sticky toddler handprint just over the bed that showed lack of proper cleaning. This is definitely no frills. No hand soap or any complimentary toiletries are included. The carpets were stained and needed replacing. The baseboards were warped and coming off the wall. There was a fist hole in the bathroom door and the cabinet was missing a door. The bathtub didn't even have a plug.
