The fact this place is still a secret, is a shame, but kind of nice since it's always been available when I've been able to get to Richmond. This is my sister's last year at Miami University (about 45 minutes away) but hopefully she'll get a job within a reasonable driving distance or I'll drag the husband down next time!||||As usual we had all the snacks and drinks we asked for provided for us and a couple nice visits with the owner and her dogs. Cheryl is not pushy or expects you to spend time with her guests but we enjoy visiting with her.||||We also stay in the Residence and last trip tried out that larger bedroom and shared a bed, but this time we went back to the room with the twin beds. It either poured or was 90 degrees the entire time we were in Richmond so we spent a lot of time at night at the Guest House. It was just too hot to do anything. So the new tv with the DVD player was a nice surprise, we used my laptop on previous visits. I also got a takeout grilled cheese panini when we went to Metamora (totally worth the drive) and it was so nice to have an oven to heat it up in. ||||I just can't say enough about this place and the wonderful owners. I wish more places...
Read moreWe rode our bikes down from Muncie on the Cardinal Greenway Trail, and could not have found a better spot. It was just over a mile from the trailhead, and an easy ride.||||When we arrived, we found a charming apartment with a separate entrance, quiet, and extremely clean! That might be the cleanest bathroom I've ever seen! The hear worked well, there was tv, and a full kitchen. What's more, Cheryl provided some frozen entrees that we had for dinner and it was perfect. There's a VP two blocks away, and there are several pizza places nearby. We were on foot, so didn't want to go too far.||||I have to say that the apartment itself was charming. It was early 60s design decoration, and everything was vintage (except appliances, of course!) and was in great condition. For a walk down memory and just to enjoy the décor, it was a treat.||||It is right across the street from a park and Earlham College, so would be perfect for visitors there.||||I can only say good things and...
Read moreWe just spent 2 months at one of the nicest places in the Wayne County area. We stayed in the “Morning Sunrise” Suite and it was great. A soft and relaxing king size bed coupled with the quiet location of the residence made for the best sleep anyone could ask for. And the hosts were magnificent. Hats off to Cheryl and Mickey who provided us with everything you could ask for. And homegrown tomatoes from Mickey,s garden were a real treat. The accommodations were very, very clean! And right across the street from a lovely park you can’t ask for anything better. We highly recommend anyone coming to the Richmond area to consider...
