Pizza King — Restaurant in Richmond

First of all, the atmosphere is so eclectic and unique. We were really excited about trying the food because the parking lot was full and the restaurant seemed to be a step back in time. The staff were very busy and kind but brought our food before our drinks. And 2 different servers told us they needed to try to find some clean plates. When the plates were brought she said “these are the only ones we have”. Okay. I mean plates are plates, right? Now to the food. It was AWFUL!!! When I say bad, I mean they brought us BAKED fries. The very words “french fries” makes you think you will be receiving deep fried potato slices, right? And they were burned on the edges. So, we thought, no worries because the pizza must be fabulous. Umm. I don’t know where these folks that have left all these raving reviews have had pizza before, but to say this is the best really has me confused. The pizza tasted like a frozen pizza with flavorless sauce and no cheese. I have never had pizza that bad before. Well maybe Elmo’s pizza in STL but this was a close second to yuck. Save yourself some time and money and...

We have grown up on thos pizza, even when I lived in dayton I'd pick a pizza up from the west side store half baked and fish baking it when I got home. We even put it up against dayton's well known pizza and everyone loved Pizza King. Tonight however, I was disappointed in what we had. I ordered a original sub, ex cheese and sauce and a12'' pepperoni pizza ex cheese and sauce. The sub is usually very messy & I know this and even have been asked when ordering the extra, did I know how messy this would be. Today it wasn't like that, it was dry so the $1.49 was a waste. The pizza was salty, it had the extra toppings on it so the $4.39 was worth it. For $30.66 which I gave the delivery person the change from $31.00 and a $5.00 tip I feel cheated. We thru it away...I could of chose a lot of places for what we spent so I think Domino's will be our choice for now on. Pizza king, you lost a great customer, a great family who spends a ton of money for pizza.....this was the last straw, the last time I wanted my hard earned...

Have to get half my pizza with no onions because of an allergy in my house. Even had a long talk with a super sweet girl last time who said she added it to my order. Got my order tonight with onions all thru it, not a huge deal, just stopped eating and called the manager. Well he said that HE made the pizza and he knows it’s made correctly because he did it himself. Sir, I legit am looking at the things…..whatever you think u did, was just a facade….cause you’re delusional. Super rude and condescending. Tried to be nice at the end and offer to remake the pizza, like not now that you’ve been a jerk, I don’t wanna eat body fluids…..needless to say, won’t be eating here again. Sad day…….UPDATE scott from corporate called me and made everything better. For the most part. Still a crappy supper, but it’s nice to be called and validated in what you said when he had already verified through recorded lines that what i said was the truth....
