I had the incredible good fortune of growing up in this picturesque town (where my 88 year old mother still lives). When I was a little girl, and growing up, I always thought "when I'm grown up, I want to have enough money to afford to stay there." And sure enough, I did lol.||We booked it a year in advance of my 40 year RHS class reunion - and it far exceeded my expectations. ||Not only is it in an incredibly convenient location (1/4 mile walk to town), the warmth of everyone who greeted us (the lovely woman manager was 4 classes ahead of me) - but many guests staying there were obviously many time repeat customers.||The last Saturday in October, the town of Ridgefield blocks off Main Street for a Trick or Treating event for the children and their families - there must have been 3,000+ trick or treaters - every business hands out candy, there was a DJ - it was a picturesque afternoon on Main Street.||My brother (who has stayed there before) told us that we'd love it - and love it we certainly did. We stopped in at the local liquor store and got a bottle of wine, and when we returned from Friday evening's events, we sat in the front parlor and had wine and great chat.||The mornings have a free breakfast (it was lovely) and wonderful coffee. ||The rooms are HUGE and gorgeously appointed.||I can't WAIT to return. Read moreWe loved that the inn was steps away from our wedding venue, Keeler Tavern, and also right next door to a restaurant and super close to the main strip of Ridgefield.
We spent two nights here with our families for our wedding weekend, and it was the most magical and special weekend we could've imagined, thanks to Christine & Danille's hospitality and meticulous organization. They helped us organize rooms for each family member based on their needs and went above and beyond to accommodate the families with toddlers and babies with anything they needed. They also created the perfect goodbye breakfast for us on Sunday so that others who weren't at the inn could drop by.
The inn is charming inside and out. It's located in an old new England home, but completely renovated on the inside. The bedrooms each have a unique theme and everything is sparkling clean. But it's not just the bedrooms that are perfectly clean. Every corner of the inn is clean and immaculate and gorgeous. The best part was the front porch and the tables, which created the ideal space for us all of us to be together.
There are just endless things I could write about how great this place is. We'll never forget this amazing weekend that Christine and Danille helped make a reality. We're already excited to think of returning for a future...
Read moreThe West Lane Inn is a phenomenal place to stay!!! Immaculately clean throughout and spacious rooms. Extremely attentive staff and owners that cater to your preferences. My family stayed 3 nights and had two rooms. We asked for no housekeeping but every morning we were asked did we need supplies or did we want the rooms refreshed. My dad is physically disabled and they only had one handicap spot but there was another handicap guest there as well. I mentioned one morning it may be beneficial to designate another spot as handicap parking next to the entrance and upon returning from an outing a new post had been dug and a second handicap spot was marked. Christine, Danielle and their staff are so friendly and are eager to do all they can to make your stay as relaxing and enjoyable as possible. They have truly earned this 5 star review and I plan to return!
As a bonus breakfast is also great with both indoor and outdoor seating in a scenic enviornment. Although a small menu that doesnt change much due to a small kitchen...it has multiple options to satisfy just about any diet and everything was so fresh and tastey all 3 mornings! I also liked that they start serving early for early birds but also serve until 10:30 for those like my family that are slower to get going in...
