For the price and caliber of hotel, I think they do a really good job. We had a really large king size bed room on the second floor with his and her sinks and two bathrooms in it (tub/shower combo with toilet). I've never had a hotel with two bathrooms and it seemed like excess but actually turned out to be quite nice for our little family to have the extra space. The room had a newer TV, a great desk space, a pull out couch, an accent chair, a coffee maker, a mini fridge, a closet, ironing board and iron, hair dryer, extra linens. The bed was on the firm side but decently comfortable, the pillows were nice, soft and plump. The building was probably built in the '60s but had a wonderful Wyoming outlaw cowboy vibe. They've done a good job keeping it modern enough and comfortable. Keep in mind you get what you pay for and this is a very affordable clean spacious option. It's nice that they also include breakfast. Breakfast i was your standard pre-packaged Continental breakfast with options including coffee, tea, apple juice and orange juice, three types of cereals, apples and oranges, regular milk and almond milk, yogurt cups, hard boiled eggs, hot items included egg and cheese, bacon, sausage as well as various flavors of muffins, French toast, plain bagels, English muffins, and I appreciated that they had gluten-free muffin and bagel options from udi's bakery all individually packaged. The food quality was mediocre but considering it's free we greatly appreciated it and definitely had some. Again, I really appreciated that they offered both gluten-free and non-dairy options, which I thought was highly considerate for free Continental breakfast. Our biggest complaint was just that there wasn't a whole lot of insulation or sound proofing in the walls, so our bed was up against a wall where the other unit next to us has their TV and our neighbor apparently liked to sleep with the TV on which was really distracting for us. At 1am I finally called the front desk to see if they could ask the neighbor to turn their TV down so that we could sleep. It did not sound like they had their TV up exceptionally loud, it just was right by our head like probably 2-3 ft away through the wall. Deborah at the front desk handled it with incredible tact, calling the neighbor asking them to turn it down and then reporting back to us that it was completed. They did in fact turn the TV down but we could still hear it but I decided to let it go at that point. We could even hear the phone ring and the guy answer. The hotel is generally actually pretty quiet, so it's not that it's a loud hotel; we just happen to have a neighbor who slept with the TV on and it is an older building that i assume isn't built to today's modern building codes for sound dampening. On the plus side, the showers had really hot water with strong water pressure, and the air conditioning pumped! It was really nice and cold in there for a good night's sleep. There was also an indoor pool but we did not use it so I can't comment on that. I asked if there was a gym and apparently it was being renovated so we weren't able to use it but we looked inside and they had a lot of equipment in there. I'm glad they have one for a future guests. Overall I would definitely stay here again for the price. On other note, if you join the Best Western rewards program which is free to join, I think you get a lot of pretty good perks and it saved us something like 18% off the room rate to book direct with best Western and join their free rewards program! I feel like we got a lot for our money and recommend if looking for a...
Read moreI stayed two nights at this hotel due to truck breakdown.
I was very happy with my room. Although I prefer King size beds because at the majority of Best Western hotels the King mattresses are much more comfortable than the Queen size, at the Outlaw Inn the Queen size bed and mattress were very comfortable. I loved the adjustable showerhead, amazing water pressure and quality of water in the shower.
I'm a truck driver, and I like taking showers at local Flying J because the water is good, can wash the soap off. The water af the hotel was much better, leaving me feeling much cleaner and refreshed.
During my stay, breakfast was a little bit limited, omelet and sausage/bacon, no potatoes on the hot food bar. Coffee, tea, and juices were delicious. Plenty of toast, bagels and muffins.
I only saw a small indoor swimming pool, L-shaped, with the 3FT depth along the long edge and 5FT depth along the short edge. Perfect for children, so I didn't use it. The courtyard area around the pool was very beautifully appointed.
Front desk personnel were very professional and courteous, especially Ms. Terri.
The only minor disappointment was lack of guest laundry and guests being directed to use laundry facilities at Rebel Truck Stop next door.
For someone who arrives by car, it's not a problem. There are few 24 hour laundromats in 2 -3 mile radius. For truck drivers who are parked at the truck stop or are at the hotel due to breakdown, not being able to get laundry done on premises can be an inconvenience. I saw it mentioned in few other reviews by truck drivers.
The reason why many of us don't like to do our laundry at the truck stops is that some drivers wash their grease-covered work uniforms in the washers, and it ruins nice clothes for those of us who like to dress nice on the job. I ruined plenty of brand-name clothes at truck stop laundries and learned to find local laundromats in town that I can bobtail to.
I think that Best Western app, through wich I booked my room, needs to be updated to include information that this hotel doesn't have guest laundry, to avoid inconvenience to some guests due to miscommunication. Maybe also mention this on Google Maps and billboard advertising for the hotel,
I love staying at Best Western-branded hotels, and will definitely stop here at the Outlaw Inn when I’m in town, because I received the service and value that I associate with the Best...

Will never, ever stay here again. The only positive I can say about this hotel is that it's right by Interstate 80, so you don't have to drive through Rock Springs.
You can get either outdoor or interior rooms, we opted interior not fully understanding what that meant. The room has no windows to the outside, but a huge glass wall that faces the inside of the hotel, and all the other rooms. Upon entering the hotel, the first thing you notice is the humidity. The pool is not in an enclosed room, rather just smack dab in the middle of the hotel. When entering the room, my initial thought was that my husband had accidently booked us in a smoking section. The entire hotel is non-smoking. The nicotine is absolutely caked into the walls, and with the humidity from the pool it is pungent. There are obvious nicotine stains drips on the ceiling beams. The rooms are HOT. There was no A/C available, and the unit was very loud with just the fan on. The rooms are dirty. The bottom of my child's PJs were black, and they were only worn in our room.
The actual pool area is a joke. There are only 2 lights, aside from dim sconces outside of each room. We had to ask if the pool was open because the area was so dark. You could see an oil film on top of the water. It was also very cold.
Sleep was awful. The walls are so thin between rooms, and the planning on layouts is a joke. The TV in the room next to us was just on the other side of the wall from our headboard. I could clearly hear the TV in the room next to us literally all night, starting at 10pm when we laid down, all the way until 8am when I finally got up. I was only able to get a few hours of sleep and still had many hours of driving the next day.
Breakfast was mediocre. Out of coffee, the only hot food was microwave egg and cheese "omelets", fake bacon, and I didn't even look at the sausage. We ended up still having to stop for breakfast.
I very much wanted to push for at least a partial refund, but my husband just wanted to get the hell out and pretend it...
