I'd give this hotel negative 10,000 stars if I could. We came to visit my partner’s family in Roseburg, Organ, form Bellingham Washinton, and his sister made a reservation and paid for our room. From the moment she walked in, the staff was incredibly rude. Despite her kind gesture of paying for our stay on her credit card, and us being polite and providing all of our information, their rudeness only got worse.
We were charged a non-refundable $30 service fee for our service dog. She is well-behaved, older, and never loud or messy. We had paperwork from my partners doctor, but we had forgotten it.
After we got to our room, we noticed paper signs posted around the hotel that we hadn't seen before. They said, "Please keep dogs off landscaping," which consisted of just a few trees, some mulch, and a couple of bushes—no flowers or even leaves on the trees. The signs also instructed people to pick up after their dogs and didn't put a trashcan near the doggie bags they provided. The signs were just regular paper from an inkjet printer that would be destroyed in one rain.
This was a slap in the face. I always pick up after my dog and have my own biodegradable bags, which are much greener than their plastic ones. Because the signs made it seem like my dog's waste wasn't good enough for their property, I chose to walk her off the grounds instead.
The hotel also required a $200 refundable deposit because my partner’s sister was paying for the room. Because we didn't have the service dog's papers with us, her service vest and obviously well-mannered behavior weren't enough for them. I have a feeling that if we had a nicer car or didn't look like we'd just spent two days driving on the highway and camping a few times, they wouldn't have been so rude.
That one encounter at the front desk completely ruined our stay. A good relationship with the hotel staff really impacts your entire experience. I would not recommend anyone stay here, and I'll be telling everyone about what we...

Website said 78$ for a room. Called to book a room. All said and done they tell me 150$ for the room. I tell the lady on the phone, that is not in my budget I can not afford that and that the website said 78$. So they told me to book through online.
So, I booked a room online through the website, 89$ for the room. Still upset about the price difference, but take the room.
I get to the super 8 to check in. I made a mistake online booking for the next day. Not the current day. I ask about changing the dates or if there is anything they can do.
NOT ONLY did they tell me no. They did NOT have any supervisor or any number to call to sort this out.
So, I payed for a second room. Had to pay in cash. Due to the lack of funds in bank. They charged us 130$. The reason I wanted to pay with card in the first place. To save money.
I called my bank to dispute the booking of the FIRST room 89$. They give me a number to call the hotel at to get my cancelation/refund for that room.
My cancelation fee is 89$. I get absolutely no refund for a room I’m never going to use.
No cancellation fee should be the total price paid for the room. I am disgusted. I have to call my bank AGAIN to see if they can do something about this. The hotel is clearly trying to scam me. Hopefully my bank can sort this out and get me a refund.
In person at the hotel, I even offered if there was anything I CAN DO to help fix this. The only thing the attending counter clerk could do was check us in. Complete bull. Your employees MUST be trained and KNOW what to do in these situations. To ONLY be able to check in guests is stupid. If you can not train your employees to do the job then close your hotel.
There is no need to be open for business if you can...
Read moreMy 4 year old granddaughter left her stuff animal in the room. I called the hotel about an hour after checkout to let them know. They said they would let the housekeeping staff know and call me when it was found. After we had attended a birthday party on Saturday afternoon on our way back to Salem my daughter stopped by to see if it had been found. she was told yes but it was locked up and no one could get to it would need to call and talk to the manager on Monday morning. I didn't get an opportunity to call on Monday so I called on Tuesday morning. I was told that they couldn't find it had no idea where it was I would need to call back on Wednesday when the house keeper was in. I explained to her the conversation my daughter had with the girl at the front desk. She said she didn't know what to say that they couldn't find it and she didn't know what else to tell me. as it turns out they were looking for a figurine not an stuffed animal. I told her that had a family member coming to Salem and if they could please let me know before 9:30. She said she didn't know what to tell me that had no idea where it was at. At 11:30 yesterday morning I received a call from the hotel that the stuffed animal had been located again. She took all my mailing address and asked for a credit card to pay shipping costs. I told her we had been there twice to pick it up and was given false information both times. I could hear someone is the background saying get a credit card number. I advised to forget about mailing I would have someone come by and pick it up for the 3rd time. Finally sparkles the dolphin is back in family hands and should be back in my grandaughter's hands by the weekend. I will never stay at this hotel again the customer service...
