The campground at Anastasia State Park is a beautiful place for your next RV or tent adventure. Most of the sites are nicely spaced apart and shaded. All have electricity and water hookups. There are two natural trails near the campground to explore. Bathroom/Shower/Laundry buildings are cleaned daily. As other reviewers have noted, please note that there is a large musical venue amphitheater through the woods, and you might hear some music or soundchecks at times. Other than that, it's a very serene and peaceful place. Highly recommended.

Fantastic campgrounds! Everyone is super friendly and everything is immaculate. The bathrooms and showers were kept pristine and the layout is very comfortable. Each campsite is private and VERY well maintained. We will definitely be returning! The only thing I would wish for would be pathways through the woods to get to the water, rather than having to walk 25 minutes to the front and then down. Other than that, it's perfect!

Campsite #215, pet friendly, fire ring, picnic table, 30/50 amp and water hook up. St. Augustine was a 16min bike ride, nice ride on the way there are many shops, breweries and eateries. From the campsite they have a separate gate entrance to the Amphitheatre, a nice morning market to visit for breakfast/coffee and crafts.

I really don't understand all the good reviews for this campsite. Maybe it used to be better. But this was by far the most frustrating and miserable camping experience I have ever had.

First we specifically booked a camping lot way in advance so we could have a spot close to the restrooms and showers. When we arrived the showers close to the lot were out of order, and the next closest one was a TWENTY MINUTE WALK AWAY. On top of that, the cleaning schedule of 10-11am and 11am-12pm is at the most INCONSIDERATE time for a group or family going on a chill and relaxed trip. Why can't they be cleaned in the afternoon when people aren't getting up and around and eating breakfast in the morning??? Also why does it take an HOUR to clean a shower and restroom??? I work in cleaning and I could clean those restrooms and showers in 20 minutes, 30 at the most! I don't know what they are doing for that entire hour because they are still filthy and gross despite being cleaned every day. In addition to that, the laundry machines were also out of order, luckily I was only staying for a few days and didn't need to wash anything.

Another frustrating thing... I had a little bit of firewood I had cut and dried myself to use at the start, which wasn't even totally dried yet, but I used it anyways and it burned just fine. I knew that I would probably run out but I figured I would just buy an extra bag there for the rest of the trip. So I did end up buying two more at the park while I was there, expecting it to burn with no issues as it is kiln dried and should be ready to go. The firewood I bought from the park was ABSOLUTELY USELESS. I put it on my already established and hot fire and the purchased wood would not stay lit and smoked like crazy. We were completely ripped off with overpriced garbage firewood.

Hugely disappointed with the upkeep and management at this campground. I've been to other Florida State Park campsites and they are always impeccably maintained and a super enjoyable experience to stay at. Anastasia, you guys really need to get your...

Tent sites are private and spacious if all you have is a car and a tent. Showers were nice to have. Large picnic table. A quiet night except for what seemed like an aggressive animal coming toward me in the woods when I woke for a middle of the night pee. Didn't seem big but still gave us a scare. Our tent site had a fairly rocky pad, so we were limited on where we could pitch. Longer, stronger stakes or a freestanding tent would have helped.

The St Augustine Amphitheater had a strict noise curfew when we were there. 10pm for the show Thursday and 10:30 for the show Friday, which is actually why we stayed there. Book in advance if it's available because we were only able to stay the night before our show. The day of we had to move down the road to the KOA which was not nearly as private. We would have preferred to stay another night at Anastasia, especially since it has its own...

This place is an absolute nightmare to camp at. The campground design makes no sense and there are TWO BATHROOMS for the entire campground. What's worse, the one closer to us was closed for almost our entire stay. We had to plan our potty breaks to walk 30 minutes there and 30 minutes back. That's ok for the morning or afternoon but at night, that's not very safe. The bathrooms were filthy anyway (even though they close them at 10am- 11am for "cleaning") and the shower heads were very rusty.

The water spigot within the campsites are extremely faulty and they spray you violently if you aren't careful.

Second time camping here(Not by my choosing) and I don't think I'll...
