Service was fast, food was great, atmosphere was good (could use a little more A/C). Let me tell you, we walked in, got seated, got our drinks, got our food in which seemed to be less than 5 minutes. Maybe cause of the time of the day (10:30am) or the day itself (Wednesday), not sure but I was happy. The server Jacquie was quick with her feet & quick with the order, which I expect from a diner usually: ya know the fast paced hustle & bustle service. Very attentive, you could always tell she was checking on you as she walked by, knowing when to ask if we needed anything or not. Now to the food, the food was great! I had the meat lovers omelette with the breakfast potatoes & an english muffin. My friend had the fried chicken & biscuits. BOTH EQUALLY AMAZING. My omelette was so packed with meat that it literally busted open on the side. Not complaining. Lol. And the chicken and biscuits is an excellent twist on biscuits & gravy. Definitely...

Staying in St. Augustine for a brief vacation and having been away from the East Coast and diners for 7 years (we currently live in TX and trust me there are NO diners here) we were keen to give this a try.

It did not fail to live up to our expectations! From the decor - true retro diner look - to the smiling wait staff, friendly but bustling to keep everyone happy and all coffee mugs full, to the food - fantastic experience.

One of us had the pancakes (another thing you can't get once you move away from the East Coast - and don't try to tell me flap jacks are the same - they're not!!) with crispy bacon - simple and satisfying meal because all was done right.

One of us had eggs with tomato and rye toast - real marble rye toast. Tears of joy. And coffee, diner coffee in the best sense of the word.
