This is a wonderful, large state park with a great beach and facilities. Lifeguards on duty. There is a snack bar, all types of activity rentals available and WiFi if needed. Itâs close to all pints of interest in St.Augustine.
As for the campground, we had one of the best campsites in the Coquina Loop., plenty of cover, shade with the sun peeking in. Basically all sites are similar and private. In close proximity are nature trails which were nice to walk. Restroom facilites and showers are functional and were clean but pretty worn and in need of a facelift. This seems to be the case with other Florida parks weâve visited. Hopefully some improvements can be made in the near future. Hence, the one star reduction.
