Very disturbing. Two relatives of the occupant and a person who drove us to the hotel knocked at the occupant's door who was thought to be asleep inside. Wiithin 5 minutes of arriving at the nephew/occupant's motel door, an individual claiming to be a sort of security flunky asked our reason for knocking on the door. We said we were there to visit family. They immediately informed us that if we didn't leave the premises, law enforcement would be summoned. So we left. Our relatives who didn't answer the door when we first arrived at the Super 8 phoned us to advise they had returned to the motel room and to comeback over. We did and immediately the motel phone rang in the room to complain about how many people were in the room. We advised it was the three already registered for the double room and two relatives and their transportation to the family get together. I HAVE MY OWN HOME TO LIVE IN AND A DOG WITH SEPARATION ANXIETY. I am not staying in your second rate rooms with a rude service desk and a Barney Fife wannabe security guard. I will never darken your motel door ever again, especially if I'm paying good money for accommodations. I'm going home to my dog and I will tell my friends, family etc., Anyone asking for a good motel that I do not recommend nor even act as though your establishment exists. You seriously disturbed a much needed family get-together that was going to last a few hours with your preconceived notions of the intent of the visitors who were there and subsequently discriminated against the family visiting by threatening to call the police for having one personal friend for one of each registered quest. For a couple of hours. At a time of 10% occupancy rate in the hospitality business of motels and hotels, this is not the type of behavior that would appear conducive to attract business. Therefore, I would go right past the Super 8 Motel at 302 Roland if you're looking to spend some quality time with friends and family and find a less unstable and uninformed lodging. And that is what I will tell my friends and family too. You earned that. Respect goes a long way. Doesn't even...

The booking said that this location 9-10 minutes from the Lackland Air Force Base. I check in and got settle and found out it's actually 20 minutes away.
Don't stay here if you're looking for somewhere close to the base unless you're willing constantly put gas in your car.
But Monday, I asked for a full refund because I hadn't even stayed the night yet. The front desk clerk told me I had to wait for the manager to come in at 6pm, who was late to clock in for work, and that the manager was the only one who could do the refund process. It was suggested that I come back to the office in a couple of hours, and I did around 8pm. I was told the manager never clocked in, and that I could talk to her in the morning and I notified them that I won't be able to as I'll be on base all day from 3am to 8pm, so I had the booking company contact them for me.
Tuesday, I get an update from the booking company notified me that I wasn't getting a refund at all for my stay here, but they still suggested that I could clock out Wednesday morning. I got back from the base at 8pm Tuesday and spoke with another clerk so she could give my contact information to the manager so she could contact me because I would have been gone on Monday had the manager came or if the clerk gotten in contact with the manager when requested. Later Tuesday around 10pm, the office calls my room phone and asks me to come to the office to give us an update on the refund.
I got the room on a discount rate of $62 a night for 4 nights. The office said they'll charge me $93 for Monday and Tuesday night along with a $50 fee for using a third party booking site. So my refund would only be $63 if I clocked out before 11am Wednesday.
That's not acceptable. As that money is needed for me to purchase another hotel and they were aware of that, so I'm here by force. The manager has my contact information but has yet to get in contact with me.
So do not book if you're here for Lackland Air Force Base, unless you want to constantly put...
Read moreI wouldn’t recommend this location to anyone. Very unprofessional and unorganized. I arrived and I was given the wrong key went into a room and there were people already saying in that room, got a new key but once I got it , it wasn’t working so I went to the front desk for the 3rd time that night to let them know that I can’t get in my room and they came upstairs w me to the room and the Key still didn’t work… one of the women open the room for me w her key that ig opens every room and she then tells me to go downstairs if I really needed the new key and I said ok, I didn’t plan on going anywhere so I didn’t go downstairs to get the new key, so it’s about 30 minutes later and I hear someone unlock my door and then try to open it but I had the safety lock on so the person that tried to come in didn’t come in… I looked thru the window and I see a man I instantly got scared and didn’t say anything cause who is this unlocking my door at 11 o clock at night w/o a notice. So I’m like who is trying to unlock my door and I call the police right away because I’m a young woman it’s late at night in a MOTEL and I see a man unlock my room door without a notice of course I’m calling the police but before I called the police I called the front desk on my cell phone and the room phone because I wanted to ask did they send someone up to my room but nobody answers but once the police arrives they call me and ask me to if I want to check out very rudely plus the man that came to my door unannounced was the maintenance man but when the office already asks me if I wanted to checkout I told them yes I’m leaving… the maintenance man than comes and knocks on my door with another man and a woman and he has an attitude asking are you leaving now?!, I told him yeah and left. This motel is not it please do not go here, like what if I was naked, changing and didn’t have the lock on like I have no privacy that’s so rude like you don’t even KNOCK! wth the address is 302 ROLAND AVE...
