My boyfriend and I went to get food after a consert here. It was such a miserable experience. I'm going to try to describe why.
We arrived at 11:30 pm. He placed a mobile order upon arival. I stood in line to be helped for 20mins before some one started ringing. Yes I mean started, there was no employee behind the registers at all for the time I waited and I was the last person rung up for 30 more mins after that. For that time there was yet again no employees behind the register and a line to the door. At 12:20 my boyfriend goes to ask about his food and said they had not even started the order. They said "oh we didn't see it." When it was brought to him it was missing peices and was cold. Not room temperature I mean cold. I was watching others get their food slowly (two orders were given out to the dinning room in 30 mins) and they were both wrong. On top of all of that the sodas were in the wrong spigots. Regular coke labeled as diet, ECT. Lastly, the young woman that was supposed to be ringing up was mouthing off and talking back at people who asked for assistance after waiting 20+ mins politely and quietly.
From an employees perspective (I don't work for Whataburger but I know how a fast food kitchen should run) they have no idea what they are doing. I'd be surprised if the employees are even literate. The order board was blank most of the time. And dispite having what looked like a full crew- I counted 8 people in the kitchen-it was silent in there. As if the employees were scared of being killed for speaking. They point blank ignored the dinning room for a good 30mins at one point. There isn't a sence of urgency in that kitchen at all.
I do understand that it was very late but that really isn't an excuse for taking 40 mins to make a sandwich out of...
Read moreWe went around midnight after our movie date. The wait was long, and it wasn't even busy. The lady handed us our food smiling and told us to have a great night. We stayed at the window to go through our bag because she had folded it (which usually makes me suspicious, as if they are covering up something) only to find out that the hamburger and fries were cold. It was as if the food had been sitting out for hours. The chicken wings were in a plastic container that was very hot, as if they had stuck it in the microwave. We blew the horn to get the lady's attention, it took her awhile to come back to the window. She finally came to the window and we let her know that the food was cold and the container was burning hot and that we wanted a refund. We gave her the receipt and food back. She looked at us with a blank stare and turned around and said, "They want a refund." Very nonchalant attitude, as if they were used to customers complaints. We also handed her the drinks back. So we waited to see if they were going to apologize... give us the refund...or say something. Then she opened the window again to just say, "He put it back on your card." And closed the window. We drove off and went to the Rigsby/410 location. We ordered. When we got to the window, we asked if the food was fresh because of our experience at the Roland location. Upon hearing that, the manager came to the window and asked us to complete a survey to express our complaint and if we would pull up they would bring it out to us. We saw her put "our" bag that was ready to the side as we pulled up to wait. Let's just say everything was made fresh to order. I hope this review...

As a loyal Whataburger customer, I am no stranger to the hustle and bustle of the popular fast food chain during lunchtime. The lines are always long, but the service is always quick and efficient. The employees are friendly and accommodating, making each visit a pleasant experience.
Despite frequenting the restaurant, I always tend to stick to my usual order. However, on a whim one day, I decided to switch things up and try something new. The sweet and spicy burger caught my eye, with its promise of a unique flavor combination.
My husband, on the other hand, opted for his tried and true favorite, the patty melt. As we waited for our order, we couldn't help but notice the busy atmosphere around us. Yet, somehow, our food arrived at our table in record time.
The first bite of the sweet and spicy burger was a revelation. The sweet tanginess of the sauce was perfectly complemented by the heat. It was a flavor explosion in my mouth, and I couldn't believe I had been missing out on this delicious burger all this time.
My husband's patty melt was as delicious as ever, with its perfectly melted cheese and juicy patty. We both left Whataburger that day feeling satisfied and content with our meal choices.
In conclusion, it just goes to show that sometimes it's worth stepping out of your comfort zone and trying something new. You never know what delicious surprises you might discover. So next time you find yourself at Whataburger, why not give the sweet and spicy burger a try?...
