As soon as I walked into the Smokehouse, I was hit by the incredible smell of woodsmoke and slow-cooked meats. The dining area was clean and well-lit, and the staff welcomed me with a smile. I ordered two to-go plates, each featuring the mouth-watering trio of brisket, smoked sausage, and BBQ chicken, as well as a side of creamy potato salad and perfectly seasoned beans.
Let me tell you, the food did not disappoint. The brisket was juicy and tender, with a deep smoky flavor that melted in my mouth. The smoked sausage was bursting with savory spices, and the BBQ chicken had a perfectly crisp skin and moist, flavorful meat. The potato salad was creamy and tangy, and the beans were rich and satisfying. It was clear that the Smokehouse takes pride in their slow-cooked, wood-smoked meats, and the care they put into their food was evident in every bite.
But it wasn't just the food that impressed me - the staff at the Smokehouse were friendly, courteous, and attentive. They answered all of my questions about the menu and made sure my order was exactly what I wanted. Their enthusiasm for their food was infectious, and it made me appreciate the meal even more.
Overall, I would highly recommend the Smokehouse to anyone looking for top-quality BBQ in San Antonio. The combination of delicious food, friendly staff, and inviting atmosphere makes it a standout in the crowded world of BBQ restaurants. So if you're in the area, be sure to stop by and enjoy some of the best slow-cooked meats...
Read moreSo I debated on making this review because I'm not trying to be mean, so I ordered your dash and my order came to me pretty quickly so I was pretty pleased about that, it probably only took maybe 20 minutes for me to get my order from the time I placed it to the time and arrived at my door so it's like I could have driven there in the same amount of time. Very important factor here.
NOW , LET'S JUST JUMP INTO IT. When I received this barbecue plate, the ribs were okay, a little dry but they were okay, the brisket was absolutely horrible. It looked like it had been sitting out for at least 3 days, it was extremely dry, drier than Jack Link's beef jerky. And the oxidation was insane. It literally look like it was old brisket from at least 3 weeks prior, can't stop it all off my food had hair in it. Some people just have no standards when it comes to serving their customers delicious barbecue. Terrible...
Read moreMy mother, daughter and I went last week. Not worth the price. Ordered brisket and sausage with mac and cream corn. Daughter ordered brisket with beans and rice and mom ordered brisket and ribs with potato salad and cream corn. Brisket was dry and bland. Cream corn was sour. Mac was watery and bland. Disgusting actually. Potato salad had the consistency of mashed potatoes. Sausage was dry but had a good flavor and thr ribs were about thr only thing I liked oh and the sweet tea. BBQ sauce was sour and watery. We also ordered sweet potato pies....they use frozen pie crust for sure it wasn't even cooked. And the filling was a complete disappointment. The ladies calling orders were super sweet but honestly would never return again. Would not recommend anyone to the place. Just not worth it for the mediocre food. Hate giving bad reviews but I honestly feel like you're being robbed...
