There was nothing special about the room we stayed in. The room was very stuffy. We rented the room for 2 days. Most places request that you ask if you need something for your room, or if you want it cleaned, otherwise housekeeping doesn't come in until you leave. We left the room and when we came back, the cleaning person had been in the room to clean. I felt my privacy had been invaded because this was done without our request. It was 90 degrees and the air condition unit in the room did not work properly, which they were notified about. The pillows were flat and there were yellowish stains on the sides of the box spring cover. The 'free breakfast' consisted of cold cereal, instant oatmeal, juice and dry danishes. Nothing there to offer someone who may have had sugar issues. I feel it is over priced , considering the price to rent a room ($109.00 a night) is as high as what it would be to stay at a Holiday Inn. No coffee pots or microwaves in the rooms, no pool, and the sink was plugged, which they were made aware of. When I told the front desk guy about the air not working, and the sink being plugged, he offered me 20 bucks to go buy breakfast (he specifically said here's 20 dollars to go get breakfast). Him doing that further made me feel that my privacy had been invaded, because I had complained to my husband about the 'free breakfast' when we were in our room. It is not a place I...
Read moreRead moreThis place is just plain CLEAN! Definitely a blast from the past but well maintained and did I say CLEAN? The price was perfect for a one night stop and go. The staff were very friendly. One area with 24 hour access to free coffee and ice. A vending machine. An old fashioned Continental Breakfast from 7:00am - 10:00 am. A gas grill is available for guests to cook their own meal. In room refrigerator. What? No in room phone!?! I gigged my review 1 star because of the following Even though this place is very clean and we'll maintained the toilet seat in my room needs replacing. The rubber pads for the seat are detioriating, making them a breeding ground for bacteria. Also, the seat itself is cracked. However! Ladies you'll love this - in order to flush the toilet both the seat AND the cover must be in the down position. Another gig is the turtle slow wifi. I would...
Budget Host is a well run establishment. Marsha and Tony go out of their way to make you feel welcome, and appreciated. The cleaning staff is quick to attend to any and all housekeeping requests, and the rooms are spotless, and well cared for. Tony and Marsha's "Coffee Room" is complete with a toaster, two microwaves, toaster oven, ice machine, vending machine, as well as paper plates, napkins and the utensils needed re-heating, or make supper on site. They have an outdoor gas grill available, and picknic tables located under a large canopy (during the summer months) so guests can grab a steak from the local market, and grill it up even in the rain (or sometimes snow:( |It didn't take long before I grew to consider Marsha and Tony friends, as they have been, and continue to be very kind during my extended...
