Every time I travel somewhere, I ask the locals where to eat. On my first evening in Sault Sainte Marie, Michigan, three out of three random strangers recommended this place... and they weren't wrong. Stopped in for lunch the following day and had a fabulous meal! Started with potato soup to knock the outside chill off, and it was so much more than potato soup! Bits of meat and other flavorful additions that put Saltgrass Steakhouse (the new #2 for potato soup) to shame. Creamy Marsala with added grilled chicken was plate-licking good. Also impressed by the two wedges of garlic bread alongside this meal... tasted like something my Tante Miele used to make in Germany when I was a kid. When I asked for a good dark beer to wash it all down, the cute gal behind the bar recommended their Widowmaker, which ended up pairing perfectly. Hands-down--talking to you locals--The Wicked Sister is a community staple and something to be proud of! A 'Must Visit' for out-of-towners and distinguishing foodies. Thanks for the fantastic dining experience!

I was extremely disappointed with the service, food and drinks. I read the reviews prior to going. I was visiting from NYC. I have been in the food and beverage industry for over 20 years. I am a freelancer with a very well know magazine and have dealt with many celebrity chefs. As soon as I walk in I was not greeted and I sat myself at the bar. There was no eye contact whatsoever. I waited 10 mins and I asked the young male bartender for a kettle one cosmo light pink. I also placed an order for the crab dip. My drink comes and it's red and taste of just cranberry. I asked for a shot of kettle to put in my drink as a floater. The young lady proceeds to tell me they do not have kettle. So I asked what type of vodka did you put in it? She tells me rack! She goes "I guess he didn't hear you". I had to order 2 additional shots to put in that drink. I see the workers behind the bar asking the patrons are they good, do they need anything? Not once did they ask me. The dip comes out it was mostly cream cheese and wasn't even hot. I had several scoops with bread and called it a day with that. The male bartender did not ask how was everything or did I need another drink? He asked me 2x if I wanted the check. I have never felt so out of place like I did this evening. What's sad is that I blog and know people.. I would have given this place such an amazing review if they had lived up to their reputation.

The Wicked Sister was recommended by a friend of my traveling companion. We both loved it. The food was extremely good. The Construction Dip was excellent. The Brussel Sprout Appetizer was also very good, and so sweet. I had a Sundried Tomato chicken in cream sauce with lots of shaved parmesan. It was delicious and I ate the entire thing which was a generous portion. Wait staff was attentive. Wait for the food was moderate, and I was glad to have an appetizer. This place does serve local/regional beer, cider, and wine and fun cocktails but we didn't order any. (We had a bit of a drive back to our home base.) Wait to get a table was barely 5 minutes and we were there during the dinner rush. Only issue was the lack of parking. The only available parking was on the street parallel parking. So that was an adventure. But otherwise, excellent place.

Visiting Sault Ste. Marie for the Fourth of July weekend. Stopped here for lunch and drinks. There were only a couple other people there. Sat at the bar and promptly received service. The menu is pretty limited. Mostly appetizers and burgers. Typical pub fare. Ordered a couple well vodka and cranberry drinks. They were okay, not as strong as I would like. For food, we ordered cheddar cheese curds as an appetizer. Those were quite delicious I thought. Then burger and fries for the main entree. The burgers were good and the fries were really good. I also tried their pink unicorn drink, seemed kind of warm and very sweet. The sprinkle rim was cute though. Over all, I would recommend. The bill was a little more than expected, but nothing crazy.

Ordered take out. Burgers were a bit dry but overall taste was great. I got the Ope burger and my husband got the dirty uncle burger. The bun is where it’s at. It was delicious. We make homemade bread, and the wicked sister has a great bun. The cookie dough egg rolls were so good. The shell was a bit tough but the filling was perfect. The ‘hush puppies’ (can’t remember the name of them) were sooooo good. We also got the buffalo cheese dip. It could have been spicer but the blue cheese was great. The chicken was okay. The chips though— they are fried wontons and the best chips I’ve had. They are absolutely delicious. Overall— 4.8 we loved the food and will be back next summer.

Cute little place. It is small but we did not have to wait for a table. The staff is great and will answer questions. I had the BLT Flatbread and it had its famous construction dip on it. Sooo good! It is definitely different than your original BLT's. I would order the Flatbread again. Not the best fries but not the worst. Their ranch dressing was great as well. I love dipping my fries in ranch. I tried their pink unicorn drink. It was amazing and had sprinkles around the rim. It is fruity but you can feel the alcohol kicking in by the time you are at the bottom of the glass. Who doesn't like the kind of drinks that sneak up you? I liked it!
