I was extremely disappointed with the service, food and drinks. I read the reviews prior to going. I was visiting from NYC. I have been in the food and beverage industry for over 20 years. I am a freelancer with a very well know magazine and have dealt with many celebrity chefs. As soon as I walk in I was not greeted and I sat myself at the bar. There was no eye contact whatsoever. I waited 10 mins and I asked the young male bartender for a kettle one cosmo light pink. I also placed an order for the crab dip. My drink comes and it's red and taste of just cranberry. I asked for a shot of kettle to put in my drink as a floater. The young lady proceeds to tell me they do not have kettle. So I asked what type of vodka did you put in it? She tells me rack! She goes "I guess he didn't hear you". I had to order 2 additional shots to put in that drink. I see the workers behind the bar asking the patrons are they good, do they need anything? Not once did they ask me. The dip comes out it was mostly cream cheese and wasn't even hot. I had several scoops with bread and called it a day with that. The male bartender did not ask how was everything or did I need another drink? He asked me 2x if I wanted the check. I have never felt so out of place like I did this evening. What's sad is that I blog and know people.. I would have given this place such an amazing review if they had lived up to their reputation.

Every time I travel somewhere, I ask the locals where to eat. On my first evening in Sault Sainte Marie, Michigan, three out of three random strangers recommended this place... and they weren't wrong. Stopped in for lunch the following day and had a fabulous meal! Started with potato soup to knock the outside chill off, and it was so much more than potato soup! Bits of meat and other flavorful additions that put Saltgrass Steakhouse (the new #2 for potato soup) to shame. Creamy Marsala with added grilled chicken was plate-licking good. Also impressed by the two wedges of garlic bread alongside this meal... tasted like something my Tante Miele used to make in Germany when I was a kid. When I asked for a good dark beer to wash it all down, the cute gal behind the bar recommended their Widowmaker, which ended up pairing perfectly. Hands-down--talking to you locals--The Wicked Sister is a community staple and something to be proud of! A 'Must Visit' for out-of-towners and distinguishing foodies. Thanks for the fantastic dining experience!

First time in the Sue. This place opened at 11. The menu had lots of choices and it was funny. The signs quirky. Atmosphere was nice and you could tell they utilize the space they have to the full potential with the table set up. A little pricey but portions were nice and big. Friendly staff, quick, efficient, and helpful when picking out menu items. I ordered their pulled pork and BBQ with sweet potato tots and ranch (loved) on the side. I would have liked more bbq sauce on my sandwhich but it was good.My significant other ordered a cheeseburger and French fries. (I had to have one as they are thick cutt and they were amazing crispy on the edges and soft on the inside) We ordered an appetizer before that with a yummy dip, homade chips, and pretzel bites. The chips were a little overdone to me but he loved those and thought the pretzels were great too. I got a coke and It tasted old fashioned. That was very very good. Nice and ice cold. They refilled it without asking. Would go again.

An Unforgettable Dining Experience at The Wicked Sister!

From the moment you step into The Wicked Sister, you feel the warmth of a place built with love, laughter, and a deep sense of community. The story behind this incredible restaurant is as rich as the flavors on the menu—what started as a family dream has become a must-visit destination in Sault Ste. Marie, and it’s easy to see why.

The staff here are nothing short of amazing—welcoming, friendly, and always going above and beyond to make every guest feel like part of the family. went here twice, first time was great service and food second time very mediocure. the second time they said they would have to charge for the side salad with my cheeseburger, which was included the first time i came, then when the check came they charged me an extra 2 something for the cheese on the cheeseburger. The first time they asked me how i wanted me burger and i was able to get it rare, the second time they just brought a dry well patty about half the size of the one i had the first time i came a few days earlier. Its nice they are knowledgable about service animal laws and can accommodate gluten free; but i guess somedays they will try to up charge. The fact they charged extra for cheese on a cheeseburger is wild. I left a seven dollar tip on a $24 dollar check the first time because everything was nice, friendly staff etc. The second time i only left a tip of seven cents (paying cash both times) if they wanted a tip they shouldn't have denied me the side that comes with the burger as well as charging to put cheese on a cheeseburger. Wont be going back. Very loud, like extremely loud pop music noise cancelling headphones cannot drown out...
