Seadifter Inn — Hotel in Seadrift

The room was clean enough, although they took some shortcuts and left some of the damaged wood from Harvey in place, and had a stove, microwave, refrigerator and coffee pot with coffee. But the Owner who runs the place doesn't have the office open during the day. You have to call her to come down and open it if you need something. That wasn't a huge deal for the price. However, on the second day she woke me up from a nap(I had been out Kayak fishing in the heat and was pretty wiped out). I had my dog with me in the room which she knew about and had paid the pet fee but when I answered the door, he came out to say hello to the two ladies that were knocking and one went ballistic about the leash law and me not having may dog on a leash: to answer the door?. My friendly dog never got more that 3 feet from the door. The other one insisted that I park in such a manner (there is a good deal of parking space available in the parking area) so that I blocked in another car. The way that I had been parking was parallel to the rooms on that side of the L and worked fine for everyone staying there. My husband and I used to go here all the time and LOVED it- (they treated us great and even held on to clothing i had left for a YEAR because we frequented the place so often).... until May of 2020. We had reservations for over a month, we showed up and no one was there to check us in. We called for over an hour; leaving messages and walked the property to see if we could find someone.. no one responded to our messages until 1130 THAT NIGHT. We had to scrounge around to find someplace reasonable that had a room available. The next morning, we did get a call from a gentleman apologizing and said they would comp us 2 nights on our next trip. We called yesterday (a bit less than 3 months later) to schedule a trip in a month for 3 days, where we were told they would only comp us ONE night since it "had been so long". We CANCELED that trip and found someplace else to go. Sadly, they have now lost 2 loyal customers, and I no longer recommend anyone to the Seadrifter Inn. I am sorry that customer service is no longer important...

They had everything you would need to stay here on a weekly basis and a great price! It was amazing to cook my own meals. The only downfall was getting your own cooking utensils which my partner and I left in the room for the next tenants that are staying the night or on a weekly basis. You can stream your shows with their TV which was nice but I didn't like the AC unit right under the TV but I understood it was the only place they could put it.
