I purchased a Coast line trailer 10 years ago. I had my boat being serviced in Rosenberg,Tx. The owner called me to tell me the boat was ready. He calls me back and I have a tire going flat and they can’t get the wheel off the trailer. They don’t know what the problem is. My son was picking up the boat that Friday afternoon and the tire was almost flat. He searched and found a tire shop still open in Rosenberg. He said the guys at the tire shop looked like NASCAR pit crew. They had the tire off in an hour and they put new lug nuts on the wheel. It wasn’t easy but they got it done. He got the boat to our house in POC. I called Coastline on Monday. They told me on the phone and could not find the SS nut and stud they normally used. They used a substitute little known to me. It takes a 13/16 deep well socket to get the wheel off. I called them Tuesday on our way to POC. First the lady that answered the phone was trying to convince me that they had not substituted the studs and bolts. I told her about my conversation last year. She said she was going to talk to the owner about my experience. She called me back and informed me that he would give me the correct SS nuts and studs, but they would not put the correct nuts and bolts on. What a slap in the face when she told me that. What at a way to run a railroad!!! Then she informs they have to be put on or removed from the wheels with a 13/16 deep well socket. That made no sense. Who other than a mechanic would carry a socket set to change a tire. I told her most people would try to use a lug wrench on most wheels on your vehicle and I awesome most other boat trailer mfg. use the size that fits the wheels on your vehicle except Coastline. Sorry this is so long. I hope readers will read this and take corrective action. My corrective action will be to have the socket wrench with me, most important is not to buy a Coastline trailer ever. Thanks for the great...
Read moreUpon discovering my boat trailer needed $2500 worth of major repairs, I decided to follow the advice of the trailer repair shop I frequent and checkout Coastline Trailer Mfg., in Seadrift, Texas. I’m glade I did.
Although 70 miles from my home in Corpus Christi, Texas the drive back and forth was definitely worth it. I fish exclusively in a harsh salt water environment so I wanted a trailer with as much corrosion resistant metal as possible. Aluminum and stainless steel fits the bill.
The trailer was custom built around my Sundance K-16 and makes trailering and launching my boat super easy unlike my previous trailers. The bunk boards actually are 3/4 the length of the hull so the weight is distributed evenly. Guiding my boat back on to the trailer at the ramp was as easy as the launch even in a strong cross wind.
I am 73 years old, having owned 3 trailers previous to my Coastline Trailer I’ve learned that your fishing trip begins and ends with your trailer. I’ve been fishing the Coastal bend since 1976. I highly recommend this product.
BTW, the oysters at ‘The Shack’ restaurant in Seadrift are worth...
Read moreI have a 2016 Coastline trailer which I've only had to replace the lights on. After 8 years of saltwater use, I decided to pre-emptively replace the dual axles. After calling around I decided to use the manufacturer and was extremely satisfied. They went above and beyond all my expectations, including: ability to schedule an appointment for same afternoon drop off and pickup. They completed the work in under the promised time; about 3 hours. looks like the same quality components that have lasted 8+ years of saltwater use without issue. Fixed agreed upon, and some extra items. very reasonable material and hourly labor rate. Great people to work with, with obvious pride in their product...
