Dirty. We had to switch rooms because the first room we were given had a strong pet odor. The second room smelled fine, BUT the sheets were not clean! (See photos) I didn’t even have to examine the sheets to see the stains which were clearly visible because the stains were right there where the sheets were turned back at the top. I don’t know how the housekeeper could have missed this, which leads me to believe the sheets weren’t even changed. It was gross. It was late and I didn’t feel like changing rooms again, so I just slept with all my clothes on, and didn’t get under the sheets. In addition to those things, both rooms looked worn and tattered. Also, there was a bottle of water left in the fridge, I’m guessing from the last guest. The breakfast was ok. I get it that a lot of folks travel with pets, but from a business and financial aspect, it would make sense to limit pet-friendly rooms to one floor. There should be some designated NON-pet-friendly rooms. Not everyone wants to stay in a room where animals have left their mark. The hotel supposedly has a cleanliness guarantee or something…they had a sign posted. However, when checking out, we told the desk clerk the truth about our unsatisfactory experience when he asked how everything was, and He was apologetic, but offered no compensation.

I booked this room for an overnight stay on a work trip. My coworker and I stayed here previously and the room was fine. Upon check everything seemed to be the same and the guy at the front desk was nice. I turned the corner and noticed trash on the floor and the elevator seemed nasty. I brushed it off and thought they possibly needed to do cleaning in that area. When I got to my room the spread around the bed was nasty and the showers appeared to be molded around. I called the front desk and they placed me in another room. When I got to the second room the tv stand looked as if someone got in a fight and started ripping it and the wall was cracking around the door frame. The bed was clean and I chose to stay because there aren't many hotels in the area and I did not want to be out looking for another hotel. I love IHG hotels but unfortunately this hotel needs a lot of work. I understand there are pipeline workers that are staying there and they possibly don't care how it looks because they are so tired but the room less than unacceptable.

So firstly this is literally my first time writing a review about pretty much anything online. And really not out of spite or anger or anything but I felt like I would be wrong if I didn’t speak up about this for others. The first room I went into (219) immediately walking into it I could smell mildew, and I didn’t think much of it till about the 3 night (I was staying 2 weeks) the room was poorly ventilated and very damp. My clothes and bed sheets felt wet. In the bathroom my brush has a blue coating on it and it was peeling off and sticking to my hands due to the dampness. Towels would not dry even after airing them out. It tried leaving window open but doesn’t open all the way. Just small little crack. I called from my bed around 2 am in the morning itching and realizing it was the mildew in the air which I’m sensitive to. I had the concierge if they had a dehumidifier or something and he suggested moving me into different room. I also had him come up and confirm it himself that the room was very damp and smelled of mold. Even my clothes which I hung up in the closet felt wet and uncomfortable and had me itching. I was moved to another room 200 which was a bit better because the aç was already high when walking in. But still smelled slightly like mildew also. However after the 3 night I started to get the itch again. However it wasn’t as bad as the other room, my sheets and clothes didn’t feel wet and the water on bathroom sink would dry so I was confused. Then I checked the aç and noticed the filter or where the air was coming from was beyond dirty! But beside all this I didn’t feel like making a fuss about this because I only had a couple of days left anyway but I was done and had to book and the Hampton in near by (which I should’ve done in first place) when the wanted me to bring my wet laundry over to them to dry. Laundry was not working and first time I went to them about this the manager I believe was kind enough to take my laundry and do it for me. Which I really didn’t feel comfortable doing but there guest laundry machines were broken the entire time I was there. Then I needed to do laundry again the told me that the washer is fixed but not the dryer so the wanted me to wash and then bring my wet clothes down to them to dry…. I suggested why not do it for me like you did last time and they said it’s in use but I can set it there and they’ll do later. I needed up goin to the store and buying clean underwear.. Also TVs are useless and needed to buy an hdmi and speaker cord to connect my laptop to it to watch on the tv and the color was in blue… But the tv In 20 was better still slow and hard to change anything on it with remove but color was clear and had sound. Refrigerator in 200 had broken shelf’s . But seriously nothing against anybody there, the staff were accommodating and understanding and nice for the most part. However for all the money they’re taking they really need to invest in the upkeep of the hotel. Going to Hampton was like night and day. I felt I was actually in a hotel in a first world country. Like I saw in the other reviews, your really paying for the area that’s it. I was not expecting this from...

Let me start by staying that my wife and I stayed at your hotel on 9/19/14 thru 9/20/14. I have been on a business trip all this week, and this is the fourth HI Express that I have stayed in since Tuesday. I am a Gold Priority Club Member, and I have been with Priority Club for many, many years. During this current business trip, and those that I have had in the recent past, I have had some very bad experiences with Holiday Inn Express which has forced me to begin to look elsewhere for my lodging while traveling; which I do extensively. I would like to express to you that this is by far the best HI Express that I have stayed in all this week, and possibly ever. The staff and the cleanliness of the hotel are top notch, and made our stay very enjoyable.

However, the main reason that necessitated my writing this letter was to tell you about the outstanding service that we received in the great room this morning from Ms. Pam. Though my wife and I mistakenly arrived for breakfast after the normal breakfast hours were over, Ms. Pam went out of her way to accommodate our needs. She was delightful and pleasant the entire time, and she made sure we had everything we needed including preparing items for us such as turkey sausage and pancakes after those items were picked-up. We even told her not to go through the trouble, but she did it anyway.

Please express our appreciation to Ms. Pam, and reward her in any way that your management policies would allow. She is awesome, and I am sure I am not the first to say that. She deserves recognition.

We would also like to express that the design of your suite created a pleasant atmosphere for our entertaining our guests, and it was by far the best that we have stayed in.

I do have to mention that the only negative issue we had is your internet services. We were unable to have continual service, and we kept going in and out if connectivity. This creates a major problem for me as I absolutely need the internet for business purposes while I am traveling. Please have someone look into this issue.

Have a great day, and know that if I do decide to stay with IHG, and remain a member of Priority Club it will be in no small part due to your hotel...
