Recently I have been very observant every time we visit/go to an establishments, businesses or hotels. Im very particular when it comes to hotels, I think it’s because I had a degree in Hospitality. Now a days a lot of people will go online and read reviews to help them decide if they wanna go there or not. So hopefully this review will help you.
My husband booked this hotel online because it’s a “HILTON”hotel , and it’s closer to where he had to work for the weekend ( we drove 7 hours). I have a high expectations before getting to the hotel because it’s a “Hilton”. I am from the Philippines and Hilton hotels there are very amazing and luxurious.
They have a spacious parking lot. When we walked in the lobby I was pretty satisfied, I think that’s the best part of this hotel. The lobby was clean, it has a beautiful interior design/layout with a welcoming aesthetics and ambiance. They do offer complimentary water and coffee. They sell beverages ( alcohol and non-alcoholic) and snacks. They do have swimming pool and gym. And I think this is a kids friendly hotel.
During our check in process, we were surprise that they’re charging us more than the amount that we expected, it was $30 more. The front desk didn’t say anything about it until we asked why, so she told us it’s for “accidental fee”( so be aware about this) . She was nice about it tho, I mean everyone were. The room was clean, bed was made nicely and it’s a good size room. It has microwave, coffee maker and fridge. The bathroom was okay, the shower floor was kinda dirty ( needs to scrub more), the vanity seems old because the paint was coming off it and the vanity sink was draining very very slow ( need to do more maintenance check).
Kinda disappointed about the breakfast, we thought it was included but I guess not. We paid $14.99 (hot and cold option) and $6.99 (cold only) for each person. I think it was a bad price, it was not a breakfast buffet because my husband had to talk to the guy behind the kitchen of what he wants ( there’s a menu to choose from).
Overall it was still an okay stay, the hotel just need to communicate better and be transparent with their pricing ahead of time so guest won’t be surprise plus do more maintenance check in the entire facility so you can strive to provide a comfortable and enjoyable experience to your...
Read moreThe cleaning staff is super poor. We were here for a week. We went to the fitness room the first night and a melted candy bar was smashed in the middle of the floor. I went back the next morning and the candy bar was still there, wrappers and popcorn pieces all over the place, and when I looked under the machines as I did pushups, it was a HOG PEN. I requested that morning they please clean the floor of the fitness center and even showed them a picture of how disgusting it was. I went back the next morning to workout and the floors were still disgusting with the exception of someone had picked up the candy bar, minus they didn’t wipe the spot where it was because chocolate was still on the floor from where it laid. Nothing was swept. I had to go and request that they clean the room a SECOND time which is now just ridiculous. For a Hilton, you expect a lot more with this brand. It makes you wonder - if the cleaning staff cheats in the public areas like this, where do they cheat in your room cleanliness? They did clean up some in the fitness center but I personally would have loved to have shown them what clean actually looks like (and no I’m not OCD about cleanliness - I just expect to stretch on their floor and not stand up with hair and dirt all over my clothes or wonder if a roach will crawl out from under the machines). In our room the cleaning staff wouldn’t resupply the toilet paper, forget to give us washcloths, etc. not impressed at all. There were some mornings they did not come into the room per our request, but on the days they did come in, they paid little attention to what needed to be done - just common sense stuff like, “both toilet rolls are completely empty, maybe we should resupply them?”
The restaurant staff is this hotels saving grace. We ate breakfast at the restaurant every morning and their staff was so incredibly friendly and wonderful. Peggy was our cook most of the week and she made our mornings wonderful. The wait staff was also fantastic. This is the only thing that redeemed our stay with this hotel or I would have rated it much lower.
The hotel itself is beautiful and very nice. It it wasn’t for my experience in the fitness center, I would have rated this 4 or 5 stars. But the fact I even had to request the fitness center to be cleaned TWICE makes me really...
Read moreMy wife and I stayed there for two nights while visiting Nashville. The room was okay and the interior was nice. We have not been to the area before and we were looking for a nice place to eat in Nashville. We asked the front desk worker and she really didn't know, instead of giving advice or looking to a fellow employee she googled and listed off the locations with the google reviews. Staff not very helpful. The other reason that I am giving a 2 star rating is that when we returned to our room at the end of the day we walked in and the entryway and the bathroom smelled of weed. We had been gone all day and the the cleaning crew had been in the room, beds were made and the towels were changed. We both realized this needed to be address. I tried to use the two phones in the room but they were not working. I had to go to the phone by the elevator to call the front desk. when I told him what happened all he could say is, would you like me to send someone to spray something for you. He did not understand the issue is that some one was in our room smoking. Never even acknowledge that fact. A few minutes later a house keeper came up with a can of fa-breeze, she walked in and even she knew it was bad. She radioed back to the front desk to confirm that he y there is an issue here. She sprayed the bathroom down and then left us the can. When we went to check out there was nothing. No apology for the inconvenience or hey is there anything we can do to make your stay better? Nothing. This was not the experience that we expected with the price tag.
I am writing this review because they never even sent a survey. My advice be very weary of this location and if anything seems out of the ordinary or off, report it and make sure there is something done...
