We stayed 2 weekend nights here. Had only planned to spend the first night here while visiting friends in Carlisle but after seeing how clean the hotel was and being blown away by the accommodating staff (BOTH front desk managers and eventually the general manager) we decided to stay the second night here instead of one of the overpriced Hotels in Hershey (we were doing day-2 at the amusement park, driving home day 3). Next year, when we do HersheyPark again, we will stay here again.
The first night manager accommodated our room needs even though we were showing up without a reservation. She even went out of her way to get milk for my little girl after hours out of the kitchnette. The business-area computer was down the second day and the day manager went out of her way to get me on a different computer so that I could print my tickets for Hershey Park. This was service I expect at a Ritz or J.W. Marriot...not a Fairfield inn.
When there was an error detected on my final bill the Day manager brought over the general Manager, Tina who went out of her way to make things immediately right and make sure that we were satisfied. Service Oriented People.
The rooms themselves (our family--4 kids and 2 adults) were spotless. Apparently the hotel was just renovated(?) They were spacious and the maid service was perfect: by this I mean we never saw them, but when we got back from the park our rooms were done and done right. While in the hall before I entered our rooms I heard a loud family across the hall and I was worried, but after we shut the door behind us we never heard another noise. Obviously the place is well-built--I couldn't even hear my own kids next door through the walls unless we kept the adjoining doors open. WiFi was free and fast.
We stayed off season (the hotel seems to service the college town) but I'd say good luck finding a better value...
Read moreThis Fairfield Inn is very new and clean. The rooms are very nice and the beds were comfortable. However, the best part about this hotel is the outstanding front desk staff. We arrived late Saturday night and Garrett checked us into our room. He was very friendly and helpful and made us feel very welcome after a long drive in the rain. My husband discovered that the rooms did not have USB ports to charge our phones. He went downstairs to try to buy a plug and Garrett gave him three plugs for all of us to use. We were so impressed by that. Our teenage daughter was in a separate room and her TV did not work, We called downstairs and Nikki had just started her shift at the front desk after Garrett left. She said she would be right up to help us. Within a minute she was at the door and tried to figure out the cable box cords. She couldn't get it to work and offered to move our daughter to another room Unfortunately they did not have another room on the same floor and my daughter was not comfortable being far away from us. She then tried to call the cable company to see if they could reset the box. In the meantime my husband looked at it, rearrange some cords and got the TV to work. We called the front desk and Nikki was still on hold with the cable company. Nikki truly did all she could to help us. I was so impressed by all of her efforts. After the great service we received from Garrett and Nikki, we will definitely return to this hotel! I hope the Hotel Management realizes what outstanding employees they have. It was...
