Riverside Inn Bed, Breakfast, Venue & Events — Hotel in Sparta

Spent some time at The Riverside Inn this past week and ...wow! The house is beautiful, the property is peaceful, and both were kept very clean. We enjoyed lounging and connecting in different rooms of the house. One person in our company happens to play the piano beautifully. Something about shooting pool in the adjoining room while melodies from a Baby Grand piano are wafting through from the other side... is somewhat magical. I already miss waking up to an aesthetically pleasing table setting in the morning, with food as delicious as the table is pretty. (The French toast!! Chef's kiss!)

I think one of the things that makes this place so special, are the innkeepers. Very warm and personable, hospitable is an understatement. However, they're as interactive as their guest would like to be. No pressure or obligation if you'd prefer to stay to yourself.

We visited the Ark Encounter, The Creation Museum, and spent a day kayaking down the river with Canoe Kentucky. We also had the amazing privilege to visit and see the horses at Parkers Livery Stable. Mrs.Sharon and her girls were absolutely wonderful .

In addition, we fished from the river's edge, drank coffee as we rocked on the back porch, or on the swing that overlooks the Ohio River. Spent time in the gazebo reading and relaxing, and played a few board games.

We had a wonderful time and made some beautiful memories❤️ hope to visit again...

One of the best weekends we've ever had. My husband and I went to the Riverside Inn with 2 other couples from our Church for a Retreat. The owners Chad and Rachel were wonderful. The food was always top notch. Everything we had was always delicious. You never left the table hungry. There are always coffee, tea and other things to drink. Snacks if you want them. The rooms are exquisite. They are spotless. The beds are big and very comfortable. The big walk-in shower was very clean great water pressure. The rooms are large. This Bed and Breakfast is beautiful inside and out. After our breakfast Rachel would do morning Devotional. She would write these and add scripture to go with our day. Setting in the swings overlooking the river with the sun reflecting off the water was beautiful. Chad and Rachel set up Self-Guided Prayer Walks, Creative Worship, Personal Time and Evening Devotional after Dinner. We ended each evening by the Fire Pit for evening chats and s'more. We can never show how much this trip meant to us. The kindness of the owners Chad and Rachel and their helper Jamie was beyond amazing. They really care about their guest. From the time my husband and I arrived until our departure was a wonderful experience. We were greeted by Bev, very sweet lady. We were served snacks. The Riverside Inn is beautiful inside and outside. We loved the gorgeous unique furniture and decorations. Nice view of the Ohio river from our luxurious Tulip room. They had chocolate covered strawberries waiting on us in our room, Bev made them. We woke up to the smell of bacon frying. Bev and Barbara served a delicious breakfast, potato cheese casserole, sausage egg casserole, bacon, amazing French toast with powdered sugar, syrup and strawberries for topping, coffee and orange juice. The owners Mandy and Ray make you feel like family. We will go back when it gets warmer to enjoy the beautiful grounds. Thank you Ray, Mandy,Barbara and Bev for making us feel special.
