Dairy Queen Grill & Chill — Restaurant in Warsaw

Let me tell you a story about this Dairy Queen. I was trying to decide what Blizzard I wanted and the girl overheard me say I want the coffee one but don't like caramel. So she said you can get it without Caramel. I said ok great.

I ordered that and 2 meals along with it. Then a guy handed me the food. Now I am the type to throw off my tomatoes and just eat something that is a mistake. I get people are busy and I don't like to make a fuss.

When I got my food there were 3 meals that I also got charged for. I wasn't really worried about it. We could eat it later.

Then I took a bite of my blizzard and there was caramel in it. I decided to go in because I would have gotten something else plus they charged me for a meal I didn't order. So I was thinking it wasn't a big deal. I took 1 bite of the blizzard so I wasn't trying to get over on the place either.

I told them how they charged me for a meal I didn't order and added caramel to a blizzard. I wanted to just replace the blizzard. I was really nice about it.

The girl at the counter asked me if I was allergic to caramel and smiled at me as if I was being a problem. I said no, but I wouldn't have ordered it.

Then another guy said there isn't caramel in that. I responded with, it sure tastes like there is. So another girl came and asked me if she could see it. They also showed me a receipt that said there wasn't caramel in it. I was again, it tastes like it is. So she grabbed my Blizzard, with my permission as I thought she was going to replace it.

She handed it behind the counter to someone so they could taste it. So they ate out of my cup. Then handed it back and said that's the coffee, not the caramel. At this point I didn't want it as it was handed behind somewhere and I have no idea what they did. The way this crew was acting, I wouldn't be surprised if they spit in it. she said the manager is here tomorrow.

So I threw it away and left. Me being charged an extra meal wasn't a big deal to them. But proving that there was caramel in an odd way, which there was 100% caramel in that blizzard. That was so important to them.

Plus I can only imagine what the manager would have done. Probably pulled out a shotgun and took me in to the woods.

I myself would have just replaced it, and refunded the meal I didn't order, but I wasn't really asking for that. I just wanted a blizzard without caramel. The workers could have just ate that one as they already were passing it around to each other.

Nobody should go here! The food industry is tough but good workers even under bad management take pride and keep their work areas clean. If they handled this that badly I can assure you that the machines...

I eat here 1-2 times a week. It’s hit or miss. Tonight, service was horrible by Stephanie, assistant manager. I ordered a 4 piece chicken basket, which was great! I then ordered the buy a blizzard and get a 2nd for 1.99. She couldn’t figure out why the coupon wouldn’t work, and I didn’t have my glasses with me to read the fine print. I told her this. She ended up manipulating the system to allow, which was great! She made the 2 blizzards and 1 looked poorly so I had asked another employee if she could spruce it up. Stephanie was busy bagging food. She asked the other girl what was wrong? I couldn’t hear what was said. Stephanie then turned around, handed me my food, saying “Is this to your satisfaction?! She then said in a snotty tone that she honored my coupon but next time I couldn’t use it for that type blizzard! She then turned away to make blizzards for another order. With her back to me, she said “Have a nice night man!!” Rude as heck! She’s horrible to me every time I go in there! She never apologizes and has no respect! I know that II wouldn’t have someone like her as my front runner! I wouldn’t have her as an employee period! Who talks to customers like this? folks are really nice very quick and clean. I haven’t eaten at a Dairy Queen in decades and it’s not because I didn’t want to it’s just because we don’t have one nearby us. Oh I absolutely love the blizzard ice cream cup Oreo ice cream dessert which are fantastic. The burgers and fries were fairly good as well. The service was top-notch as the lady at the front counter was super nice and very quick with a smile. Food was hot and quick as well as I had stopped just for a moment between jobs and it got me back on my way. The restrooms were very clean and nice as well and actually for someone like myself being on the road so much it’s hard to find restrooms that are well-maintained. I’ve always been told that a well-maintained restroom tells a lot about the restaurant. I happen to be there just after lunchtime which was the perfect time because there was no line. Sometimes when I show up after lunch the food can be cold and old but it seems like this restaurant stepped it up and had hot and fresh food ready to go even though it was not during a rush-hour...
