Hernando Beach Motel — Hotel in Spring Hill

Where to begin...||The Captains house is a short drive from motel itself... got to house and noticed parking might be an issue.. luckily we were only ones checking in on a Tuesday ( staying til Saturday) . I myself thought inconvenience right away, so we get in house, seems ok, our room was right there near entrance. Wanted second floor for a better view, but come to find out, owners live on second floor and have the best of the house and renters get the bottom no view rooms next to the kitchen area. From Tuesday to Friday morning was peaceful being that we were only ones there, but come Friday, they rented to a couple couples who thought they owned the place and proceeded to talk loud and wonder about outside to check it out.. one lady even peaked into our room window as I was sitting on bed and we met eye to eye so I sarcastically waved at her and she waved back with an oops I shouldn’t have done that! Unreal! After they all settled into the place, they more or less just started hanging out in kitchen like it was the place to party til close to 10:00 pm... had to call lady ( Mel) who checked us in to complain about noise because the rooms are far from sound proof! They might as well been in our room! Secondly, there’s major issues with WiFi, so plan on tv and phone access to buffer continually... bed and pillows were hard so forget a comfy sleep unless you like sleeping on cement... bottom line is, they should advertise this as an air bnb and will rent to drunken slobs who have no consideration for others! We got lucky it was for only one night we had to endure this, otherwise it would’ve been give me my money back! Or bring ear muffs, but the door slamming muffs aren’t for sale yet! Top notch customer service! I booked a pontoon rental back in August. Had friends visiting from Palm Beach and decided to make a reservation for this rental. Put down a very minimal deposit to hold the reservation. ||The Hurricane was coming so we had to cancel. We emailed Jackie and said we had to reschedule obviously because of the hurricane. Made plans for 2 weeks later. Again, we had bad weather and I emailed Jackie again. She completely understood and said no problem at all. She was extremely flexible and understanding, she said call anytime and we will get you booked. Always quick to respond, always friendly. Well ,2 months later , summer is over, kids are back in school and the holidays are approaching. I emailed Jackie 3 days ago , explaining that there just won't be any time to reschedule our reservation. She said no problem at all, I will refund you back your deposit. 3 days later I received my deposit back. It was no hassle, no follow up email, no phone call, nothing, just my refund back without any issues. I look forward to booking with them again when life settles down and know my experience will be nothing but the best. I will only use Hernando Beach Motel for boat rentals...

We actually stayed at the captains house, but I guess Google it's only allowing me to review it might as well because that's where we paid. They're both owned and operated by the same family. And they are fantastic! I did not look around the Hernando Beach Motel, but the Captain's House was absolute perfection! This couple haunted are literally living my dream come true every attention to detail possible. I wish we could have stayed longer. And we definitely plan on being back with our kids and extended family. Room was very reasonably priced and perfect. But you can rent the whole house for $690 a night so we will do that! 5 rooms. 13 people (at least). Oh so nice because it's room was so beautiful and spacious and have their own bathroom and refrigerator but the common areas were also very spacious and comfortable. And so clean! There were so many fun things to do and they really thought of everything. I can't wait to go back! The last pictures are not at the Captain's House.
