We are in OH for the weekend to show pigs. We checked in this hotel late at night. After check in we proceed to our room and I even noticed the hotel stunk. The first room we were given, one bed had NO bedding or pillows, the other you could tell it was slept in recently. We received a dirty room. When I brought this to the attention of the front desk we got another room assignment. My son and I walked to the said “new” room. The door key didn’t work. My son stated “mom I think someone is in there already.” I knocked on the door and yes the room was occupied. Mind you this was at 11pm. I go back down to the front desk inform them of the situation. They asked me to sign a 3rd paper for another room. I asked if we would be compensated for the issues and the embarrassment I just went through. The nice front desk guy called the manager on the phone…
here it gets even worse -
the manager on the phone told the front desk guy don’t refund them anything they look like they can afford it. If we refund it will come out of your pay. I advised the front desk guy that’s probably illegal this shouldn’t be on you it’s on the hotel.
I would like some type of compensation for not only the dirty room but the embarrassment of just getting a man who was in his boxers out of bed.
I asked to have the managers number I was given a number and told I could call him. I then call the number given and the hotel phone rings the front desk guy even answers and says hello to me. So I was given a bogus number. I then asked for the managers supervisor info and it was declined.
Out of the blue the manager came to hotel who was rude, unprofessional, yelled and cussed at me along with degrading me. I asked for his supervisors information and it was declined again. I told him I would be contacting corporate to inform them of this situation.
He states I refund your money you leave hotel. Mind you we are not from this area by this time it’s midnight. Then he proceeded to rip up a piece of paper and throw it at me and told me to get me and my rat boy, referring to my son, out of his damn hotel. I then lost my cool as he followed my son out the door cussing at us. I didn’t get proof I was even refunded. I have left the above information on a review and I will be contacting the corporate office about this...
Read moreAt 3/27 2am check in from previous days reservation, we traveled through the night. I have never met such a rude person in a customer service positions in my life. They must have new policies to yell through locked glass doors at customers before allowing in, maybe due to Covid. She began yelling at us, through the locked glass doors, from the moment we arrived. She yelled at us that check in was at 3pm, we were trying to tell her we had a reservation but she obviously did not understand/hear us. She then yelled at us not to be rude, though she was yelling at us. She eventually opened the door and began yelling at my husband while he was trying to check in, never raising his voice or saying anything rude. I began to video for evidence for the management team but that infuriated her even more. She threatened “I can kick you out” 4 times before my husband had to beg for her to check us in so we could go to our room. We already knew that there is not much available in the area, therefore we would be in trouble with no room. I have tried to upload the video but it then freezes up and boots me off, then I have to write this over. I have NEVER left a bad review anywhere in my life because I believe the management should have the opportunity to address any issues however she was so aggressive and rude, I do not believe this was the first time for her to treat customers so poorly. They have their own video cameras all over, I only hope they are working for review by management however I will be sure to forward my videos as well. I was in total shock and still am. What makes all this worse is my daughter was with us and this lady in a customer service position still yelled at my husband for several minutes straight before finally checking us in. We need more towels and blankets but my husband and daughter were afraid to go to the front desk to ask for any. This is by far, the worst experience in my life, and I’ve...
Read moreI've given them 3 stars because this location was renovated at some point recently, but they cut some corners. The bathroom was just given a face-lift. It had cracked tiles, an amateur caulk job around the tub, the bathroom door was delaminating the room door showed signs that at sometime, someone, tried to force their way in. The continental breakfast was disappointing! We asked when we arrived what it would be and the individual didn't know. They put out sealed brown paper bags. ( Because of the pandemic) and that's great. But, In the bag was an 8oz bottle of water, a Chewy bar, a mandarin orange fruit cup and a 2 pak of small blueberry muffins. Just a week earlier we stayed at another Wyndham property that cost about the same and the options were much better. They offered a better variety of individually wrapped items (because of the pandemic) and fresh fruit. I picked a hotel that included a breakfast because I had a busy day and didn't want to lose time at a restaurant. We will be traveling to the area a couple times a month and thought that we should try different hotels to see which suited us best and we decide this isn't it. My suggestion to the Wyndham Group is don't cut corners on renovations it could and is going to effect your bottom line. Set guidelines for what is offered for breakfast because the contents of the bag were as if a child...
