Decided to give this a star due to dogs free of charge but then again you can't leave your dogs unattended so being free of charge is useless and also a place for us to stay for more than a week . Now, to the point of our disappointment is we got there and the rooms and one bathroom weren't clean since we booked 2 rooms. And then the rooms always smells like cigarette smoke. We go in the morning and come back on the afternoon or evening and always smells like smoke which is supposed to be non smoking rooms. Now, here's the part that really upsets us. So we arrived to this place Friday. Already Wednesday and the beds wasn't changed. So the next day I ask the front desk on what is their schedule when it comes to changing linens. They said EVERYDAY... soo I'm like, well, our beds never changed since we got here since friday. And she's like it says here it was cleaned and changed. And I'm like my blood stain since we got here is still in the same spot. Why is that?(she thought they can just lie right on your face like that. Geez people) And then for the goodness of heart she offered linens set for 4 beds and have us change the bed by ourselves. Now, this is the fun part. The next same lady told us oh your rooms and beds are clean and change. They probably never bother to look under sheet of our because we just put the clean fitted sheet on top of the old one so when she said it was change, then why same fitted sheets are on our beds? Will never ever come back and stay on this place. They will brutally just lies to your face just like that. And will make sure we'll save our friends from staying in this place. I guess this is what we get when we try to stay on budget but then again we pay for the services they offered so they should be honest and true to that service. We'll, not...
Read moreVery disappointed in our stay at this hotel. We arrived very late at night after booking online. We get there and check in, being very tired with our dog and 1 year old daughter, we were ready to go right in and sleep. Well.....the elevator was broken so we had to carry everything all the way to the 3rd floor making several trips. As soon as get to our floor, the entire 3rd floor smelled of marijuana and we were told they only had smoking rooms available (which my husband has terrible asthma). We walked into our room, exhausted and just wanting to sleep but walk in to a cockroach right on the desk!!! We searched the room and bed for other bugs before we could even set our things down. I was told they offered wired internet services and after arriving realized they only have wireless WiFi, which I work from home and had to call off work because the internet connection wouldn’t let me work. They do not offer breakfast or even coffee, whether in the rooms or lobby. The vending machines (like the elevator) were broken! We actually paid for 2 nights and ended up changing hotels the following day because of the terrible experience we went through within an hour of arriving and if it wasn’t so late and being completely exhausted from the long drive with a baby and dog, we would have left immediately after walking into the room. The ONLY positive thing I can say about this hotel is that they allowed us to have our dog but from what I seen and experienced, we will never stay at a Motel 6 again. We changed to Candlewood Suites the following day, who also allows our dog, and have WIRED internet so I can work...walking into their room was a total 180 from what we seen at Motel 6. I never write reviews (good or bad) but this was just too many negatives for me to not let...
Read moreOur room was located right near the rear entrance of the motel. It was convenient for us as we are seniors who do not like to carry luggage long distances. However, when we realized that the rear door of the motel is NEVER locked we felt a little less secure. After leaving the motel on the second day of our stay we were met by a really ugly surprise when we returned. The person who was supposed to tidy the room, make the bed, etc had only picked up the wet, used towels and did nothing else in the room. We can understand a person forgetting to do some aspects of their job but we could not understand why she left the door to our room unlocked and open! Anyone could have wandered in through the rear motel entrance that doesn't lock and gone right into our room which wasn't locked. When I complained about it the mgr told an employee to give me a 10% discount on the bill. The manager never spoke to me directly despite the fact that we were standing not more than 3 feet apart, her behind the counter and me in front of it. I found her attitude dismissive and insulting. The other employee, the person who actually did the discount was very friendly and apologetic about what had happened.
You also should be aware that the water temperature in the bathroom is scalding and could easily result in serious burns. I'd recommend you turn it down a little before some one's kid gets burned and you get sued. Also, the water pressure in the shower is so strong that it is difficult to stand in there when the shower is in use. Sooner or later it will knock someone over - probably either a child or an elderly person. In either case it will result in injuries that could have been avoided. Spend some money. ...
