First time visiting since they took over the former Lake Pointe Grill space. This time we had breakfast. My wife had the Mexichanga burrito (vegetarian) with friend potatoes. She loved it, though she took some home because the serving was large. I had huevos rancheros which came with rice, beans, and flour tortillas plus horchata to drink. The eggs are usually topped with red or green chile but these had a slightly spicy tomato sauce instead. It was very good, but I favor the chile topping. Our server (Anahi?) was nice and excellent. The music was too loud, hence the 4* rating for Atmosphere. A different breakfast, and we'll be back.
4/24/2024: Came for dinner. We shared an appetizer of guacamole which was rich, creamy, and delicious. My vegetarian wife had the veggie tamales (4) with green sauce which she said were delicious. I had the shrimp and crab enchiladas with queso and sour cream. They also were delicious, a bit spicy, and the portion was large. The only negative was a table of 6 adults and 5-6 very noisy children seated next to us, so noisy that we couldn't carry on a normal dinner conversation. Wonderful experience. Very friendly staff and could really tell that the owner cares about people.
The chicken, steak, and shrimp with rice and Pico was amazing. Even the corn tortillas were fire.
Ended up leaving Motorheads because a waitress didn't really even seemed like she wanted us to be there. Gave her three attempts of being a decent person before my lady and I quickly decided to find a different place to eat. For us, the waiter/waitress is a big part of the experience of eating out. We treat people with caring and prefer the same respect from others, at least a neutality. So glad that we landed at Taqueria. Was greeted warmly by our waitress and the waiter that had to take over for her was very kind and attentive.

Read moreWhen I walked in, my first thought was, "This place is going to be pretty good." The host barely spoke English, so you know the amigos in the kitchen are cooking up something authentic. I started with chips and spicy guacamole, which had a nice little kick to it. Adding the red salsa made it 10x better. The chips were homemade and perfectly crisp.
For my entrée, I went with 3 tacos—2 chicken and 1 steak. The tacos were served the authentic way, just cilantro and onions. The steak had great flavor but felt like it was missing something. The green sauce wasn’t spicy, but the red salsa gave the tacos that perfect kick they needed. I was initially skeptical about the chicken tacos, but they turned out to be surprisingly good.
Overall, I’d give this spot a solid 9/10. Definitely better than many other taco...
